Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Kansas City KU Medical Center, an IHG Hotel

Large and comfortable room. Linens were fresh and bed was comfortable. Air conditioner was efficient and quiet. Shower/ water pressure was strong and hot water plentiful. Room was quiet despite being right across the hall from the elevator!! Breakfast was as expected (except no cinnamon rolls).

Check in on 2nd floor - front desk person not present, and no note to indicate absence; when she returned, she was lovely. Needed help with our TV - no pick up when I called the front desk or when I went down to seek some assistance, and no note to indicate absence; when she appeared she was immediately helpful. No cinnamon rolls at breakfast - seriously!!!! This was irksome!

Breakfast was good and the location to the Medical Center was excellent although we were not there for the Medical Center

We noticed in the evening that the water in the shower was not flowing out of the tub. The decorative handle in the bathroom broke off and the phone to the front desk did not have a dial tone so we were not sure if we could reach the front desk using the room phone. We went down to the front desk, and unfortunately, there is no one on site in the evenings to address our concern. So we had to wait til the next day for the work to be done.

Thank you for everything. The breakfast was so amazing and the presentation was great! I appreciate the early serving time. The food was delicious and prepared well. This is my first time experience using a room key in the elevator to go to my floor; I really appreciate it and was grateful for the extra security it gave me. The staff was friendly and always had a smile. My group chose your location because it was in the best location for our travel needs while in Kansas City. Your facility is very clean and fresh! Thanks for everything!

An extra roll of bathroom tissue paper in the room would be great. We had one, but also had 1/2 of a roll already on the dispenser.

The location, close to the KU Medical, was perfect. There were a lot of restaurants to eat at. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was very good and there was a lot to choose from. The room was very clean and spacious.

The beds were comfortable, just not what we're used to. The lights in the bathroom all come on with one switch, they were either all on or all off. It would be nice if they were on separate switches.

The room was comfortable, hotel was in a good location, staff were helpful and breakfast was included during stay.

There was no housekeeping staff available after 6p.m. One of two beds in queen room initially assigned to us had used linens and pillows and there were towels on the bathroom floor next to shower area. The staff checked my concern and immediately moved us to another room.

We went for graduation in kansas city got to the hotel really late, didn't really get to tried the breakfast. Location is great closed by lot of restaurant around. Specially diverse of restaurants closed by.

Everything was exceptional, there's nothing we didnt like about it. Maybe the elevator could have be a lil faster when going up and down. But other than that it was a great experience.

Room was very clean but the room was right above the road to the east. Very noisy most of the night.

This is a clean, comfortable property with friendly and efficient employees. It's where we choose to stay when we come for medical appointments. I like that you can't get to the floors where the rooms are without a room key. That makes us feel safer. There are many restaurants nearby, some with indoor dining. I also appreciate that this property is 💯 percent smoke free. They are serving a modified breakfast. Their employees will dish up the food items you choose, and pour coffee for you. They usually have 3 or 4 hot items, such as a cheese omelet, or scrambled eggs, or bacon or sausage. There are a variety of other choices that you can serve yourself. . . yogurt, fresh fruit, milk, cold cereal in individual boxes, muffins, hot water for oatmeal or tea, etc. At this time, you CAN sit and eat in the breakfast area, or take it to go.

This hotel is very close to UK Hospital, which is a plus for convenience, but the area is a bit sketchy. You just need to be aware of your surroundings. Don't venture out without knowing exactly where you are going, and how to get there.

We were there because of a family member hospital stay, so the location was great. The hotel was very clean and comfortable.

The cost was high for unplanned emergency stay because of family medical issues.

Good location since my husband was having heart surgery and breakfast was very good!

It was very hard to get thru on the phone lines. Had to call several times before someone would answer. Might have been short staffed?
