Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Springfield North

The property was nice. Had the option to park in a covered garage at no additional fee. Coffee was fresh I. The morning and breakfast wasn’t bad for everything being prepackaged (COVID safety).

The swimming pool was VERY small. Thankfully my kids were the only ones swimming when we went. Otherwise it would get crowed very fast.

I enjoyed the location of the property as it was directly off of my route that I was traveling. Once entering the property the staff member at the desk was very friendly and helpful. The accommodations were very clean and comfortable to the point I almost wanted to stay an additional night. I really enjoyed this hotel and would recommend it to anyone traveling this way.

When booking the price with taxes online quoted an all in price of $158, I was charged $180 is the only downside of the booking.

The facilities were clean. The beds were so comfortable. The kids loved having a pool they could swim in. There weren’t as many hot options for breakfast, but there was a lot more than I had anticipated, and the staff was so helpful to try to accommodate our picky eater.

We didn’t know that housekeeping was only coming around to rooms that had been checked out, so it was confusing how to get more towels. So, we wished we had known sooner!

I saw I was charged $251.50 on 2 credit cards and asked the front desk lady if it will drop off after pending, she said it would- almost trying to give us the easiest answer. so, after pending- both charges went through and I’ve had to take time away from our vacation to deal with their charges and it still has not been reversed. Not happy with this.

Easy to get to, Cracker Barrel right down the road. Clean area and hotel. Have stayed here twice now and will stay again next time I’m in Springfield.

I liked just about everything except for the breakfast. It could use some improvement. More plain old food instead of hoity toity things.

I did not like having a pending charge for more than our booking was. Once this is explained to me, I am sure I will understand.

Very nice room and property

One metal soap dish on shower wall (room 203) needs attention, fixture has come away from shower wall and has film accumulated in that area.

The helpful attitude of the evening check-in agent, The friendliness of the person who was overseeing the so called breakfast. The room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. the fact that there was an elevator to our room floor was a plus.

The fact that the hotel had little hanging tags that informed guests that there were two bath towels, wash cloths and hand towels that should be reused. if we wanted fresh towels we were to call the front desk and then go down and pick them up. There would be no maid service unless it was requested and then we would have to vacate the room while they were there. The breakfast was a paper bag with cereal, a granola bar and a spoon is not acceptable . I did not expect a full breakfast due to the virus situation but other hotels that we stayed at had individual wrapped breakfast sandwiches and breakfast bowels. You may want to consider this option for the future.

Could hear the people above us I believe they were playing basketball From the sounds....... Our only complaint was the noise on 2nd nite we stayed

Staff was very helpful. I also like that they are monitoring how many use the pool at a time

Not many channels to choose from just news channels. My family always enjoys picking out a good movie to rest at the end of the night
