Aiden by Best Western at South Reno

The staff are exceptional, the rooms are clean, comfortable and pet friendly. There is plenty of parking surrounding the facility, which makes unloading and loading the car a breeze. There is even a little dog run area in the back, with doggies bags and a trash can available which makes cleaning up after your pet very convenient and easy peazy

Pets DO NOT stay free (unless they’re service animals). There is a $39 fee for up to two nights and any additional nights are waived. This was not listed or known at the time of booking my reservation, so as you could imagine it was a bit surprising to find out upon check in that there would be an additional $78 fee.

The hotel is easy to find and was in a very convenient location for us since we were visiting family nearby. The room was awesome, very clean and comfortable. The pool was great it just maybe could have used a table with an umbrella for some shade if anything but otherwise a great space to cool off. Would definitely stay here again! :)

The other guests near our room were extremely loud and rude and slammed their doors very early in the morning but that isn't the hotels fault. Also someone did try to break into my moms car as we were checking out but luckily we came out right as they were looking into the car, so maybe some security in the parking lot could be good. Any complaints we'd have were not due to the hotel or staff so we will definitely stay again next time we're in the area, thanks again! :)

This motel was just what we wanted - quiet location, with easy access from car to room. Even better - the room was very nice, and tastefully furnished with comfortable beds, a nice shower, good sized fridge - even a clothes steamer and a Keurig! All for an excellent price. And bonus - the Two Chicks restaurant next door was delightful! It looks like there’s a nice grocery store next door also, though we didn’t check it out. Second bonus - lovely view of snow covered mountains from the parking lot.

No dislikes.

The room was much larger than I expected or needed with two beds, ample bathroom space and amenities.

There was no breakfast, which was a bit frustrating because there were no coffee places nearby and I had to walk to a mall about 10 minutes walking distance to get a Starbucks. However, this is not really fault of the hotel, but the location and general situation in Reno. Would have been nice to have a cafe in the building. The walls seem to be thin because I could hear my neighbor´s entire phone conversation. Luckily this only happened once and noise was drowned out by air conditioning which I put on after.

Close parking, easy access to room, room was very close to pool (biggest perk!) Room was clean, well decorated, shower was nice. Loved the blackout curtain, and the small couch with table. Bed was comfy, ac worked really well. Lots of space in the dresser drawers, and the hanging rack was sturdy and easily accessible. Fridge and microwave were also clean. The light around the large mirror was really handy

Only dislike was the main entry/exit to the parking lot (where it exits onto Virginia Street was hectic and tricky to maneuver. Mainly used the side entrance to parking lot)

The place was clean and was pet friendly. It looked liked the facility had been somewhat recently up graded, having a modern look. There was a place, but only after looking, to take your pet to potty.

Front desk took awhile to check you in and the woman tried to get a hefty fee for having a pet, even with a pet friendly hotel sign behind her. I told her when I made the booking, no such fee was mentioned and she asked how I booked the room. I said through Bookings and she dropped the fee. The room was said to be the last one available when I booked and so I could not change anything or cancel. Yet, there were many rooms empty during my stay.

The staff were amazing! The property was spotless. The rooms have all the amenities you could think of. On site laundry. Beautiful pool. Even have electric charging stations for your car. Was the best stay in a couple of years. So glad we found this Motel!!

The bathroom bar used to stay stable while taking a shower is in the wrong place The bar should be on the wall facing the shower not behind you. My mother had a hard time with no bar to hold on to.

Location was perfect. Room was so great, set up so well, comfortable and quiet and very clean.

Check out was 11, but at 9:25 I got a knock on door from housekeeping even thought I had the Do not disturb in my door. Told them I am still here. Got another kick on my door at 10, different housekeeping person, told him I was still there. Suggestion: do not pester people to check out unless it’s past check out time! I was trying g to relax before a medical procedure.

Clean and completely remodeled rooms that are quiet and reasonably spacious. Lots of plugins, except near the bed (bring an extension cord if you have a CPAP). 24-hour coffee, but no continental breakfast. Also, Keurig in the room with some Keurig cups provided. An onsite restaurant (breakfast and lunch only) is a second location of another local Reno eatery. The food and service was good and prices within reason. Several eating establishments are located within a two-block walk and even more options are just a short drive away.

Room lighting is lacking. Most of the floors are hard surface - I prefer more carpet. The too-hard mattress gave me a backache (but that happens to me about 50% of the time at motels). The pool closes at 8pm, which seems early. It is standard procedure at the in-house restaurant for employees to wear shirts with a vulgarity on them (with a couple of ## in the word to disguise the message).

Front desk staff and housekeeping staff. There was no manager on site during the week-end, and we had to leave earlier than expected. There was back and forth between the property and our third party booking agent, but the end result was no refund for two rooms for one night we never used. Made worse by the manger stating if we had booked thru them, it would be no problem for the refund. Housekeeping staff did not understand the English language, but the requests for towels and bathroom supplies went unheeded. Property is clean, updated, and otherwise a good value.
