Winnemucca Inn & Casino

This hotel was booming on a Friday night, which made me feel good to have people around because I was traveling solo (well, my dogs were with me, but single woman traveler). My room was on the first level near an exit so it was super easy to park my car near my room and unload/load back up. Letting the dogs out was also very convenient, and the property has lots of lush green grass (that they water!) for the dogs. My room (135) was a good size, the bathroom was HUGE, and the ice machine was close. Everything was very clean. They even give you a tie die fleece blanket for your pet to sleep on (it's not for keeps, just.to use on the bed, but that was an awesome touch that my pups loved!). I didn't use the restaurant but I love that this hotel has a restaurant attached to it. Otherwise, it's mostly fast food around on the main strip. Also, the room was remarkably quiet for being down the hall from a casino!

My room was non-smoking, but there is so much smoking going on in the casino and around the hotel that it's hard to avoid running into smoke. Also, the remote on my TV did not work. Not a huge deal, but would have been nice to catch some news/the weather forecast for my next day of driving.

With a long trip, and getting in late they were very gracious and allowed us to check out a little later. That was a life saver as we had much further to go on our travels and we were already exhausted. The staff and room were amazing. We didn't really use any of the other facilities.

I don't really have anything negative to say. It was excellent. The beds were comfortable and it was really clean. I don't have anything to complain about.

Large room and bath with fridge, coffee maker (a real one, not one of those mini Keurig things), and microwave. Furnishings and carpet are a bit dated but the place was fairly quiet and had well appointed beds. We walked to dinner nearby (ChiHuaHua Mexican - excellent!) even though the hotel food looked good. We did our gambling down the street at Winner's because the slots on a quick try seemed very stingy.

The front desk clerk was a bit odd, kept telling us "5 more minutes" over the course of 20 minutes while waiting for our room. Our toilet "sang" while filling up.

We loved the atmosphere in the hotel. It was like being shot back to the eighties/nineties but really cool!! I mean that in a positive way :) The casino that was situated right in the hotel, offered slot machines and it was possible to smoke there. And drink alcohol. 24/7 haha I don´t drink nor smoke but loved it! There also was a games room, with lots of fun stuff. A bit like a tiny Las Vegas. The room itself was HUGE, very clean and the beds super comfortable. My daughter and I also used the pool, in the evening. Was fun!

Surprisingly no cigarette smoke smell in the room despite being attached to a smoky casino. Microwave and refrigerator in the room. A simple room for an overnight stay.

Just a couple of oddities. There was no bathroom fan, which can create an unpleasant situation at times. And there was no towel rack within reach of the shower, so the towel had to be laid on the tub edge and protected by the shower curtain. Again, not a big deal but just a hook on the wall would have sufficed.

My husband and I had stayed here before a few years ago on another trip. We were pleased then with the accommodations. When we found ourselves in the same area again, we decided to stay at the same place knowing we had liked it before. What sold us was having a restaurant right there on the premises. Staff was very friendly and our room was clean, comfortable and quiet with all the amenities we needed. Would definitely stay here again should our travels take us that way again.

I am not a gambler so the casino part was not to my liking nor was the smoke. Although, you could not smell the smoke in the restaurant which is connected to the casino.

The property was close to many places to eat and explore.

At the entrance of our hotel there was a large bin that contained dirty laundry and linens. I thought it was going to be there for a short time but it was there for two days. It was unsightly.

I don't have an animal so I booked a room that didn't accept animals. When I got there the clerk told me that a room wasn't available so I would have to take an "animal friendly" room. I was concerned...but didn't have much of a choice at that point, so I took it. To my PLEASURE, there was absolutely no evidence of an animal ever being in that room. It was very very clean, cool and comfortable!

the restaurant help. we went in for breakfast. we were seated and given a menu but that’s were it ended. a family came in after us and the waitress took their order. we waited for someone to at least ask us if we wanted anything to drink but that didn’t happen. we waited about 5 minutes more then decided to go to the Griddle. we’ve stayed at your facility many times and always had good service and food we’re disappointed this time.

The bar in the Casino was just about to stop taking food orders when we checked in. The staff quickly got us seated and took our order so that we could eat, which was great! Very friendly staff and surprisingly clean

We were traveling with a horse trailer and there was no room for parking. This was not really expected, given the down town location of the hotel, but would have been nice
