AC Hotel by Marriott Portsmouth Downtown/Waterfront

The location of the property was perfect, you are able to walk to almost any location downtown.

The property was amazing, there was nothing we didn’t like! We had the chance to rent an igloo at the rooftop restaurant Envio, so much fun!

The staff were amazing and so helpful! also the room was spotless, modern, and perfect for a bday treat for myself and to have friends come by.

lack of parking

The location was excellent. Easy walk to all the shops and restaurants. We will stay again!

Breakfast was very good and was served nice and hot, the server was very friendly. They gave out free lavender sachets near the elevator to help you sleep at night, very nice touch.

We had no drinking cups in the room except paper coffee cups. We were not told to use our room pass key for the elevator, took us a few moments to figure out why the elevator was not working. Although we understand security is important, using your room pass key for the elevator was a hassle as it took several tries to make it work and we were not the only one..

Staff was very nice. New hotel with modern look, nice furniture. Hotel overall was clean and inviting.

Breakfast was advertized as a buffet, but we, in fact, had the option to order 3 types of meals, with a limited choice of other foods at the buffet. Parking was an issue, as we had the choice between valet parking at 40$, or parking in the streets. We stayed for 4 nights, but room was made only once during our stay, and our basket was not emptied for the whole stay.

The room was very well appointed and clean. The vibe of the whole hotel was chic and unique. Staff were friendly.The breakfast was fantastic.

Unfortunately our room was next to the stair well so in the evening and throughout the night whenever anyone accessed that door, when it slammed shut we woke up. They are also not yet doing room service, assumably due to staffing shortages like everywhere.

Location was great! Could walk everywhere. All the staff I encountered were so nice and helpful. The room was quiet and comfortable esp the bed. The shower/bathroom was slightly worn in places but still very nice. Loved the rooftop bar!!

I always wish there is a pool or hot tub but we didn’t have time to use it anyway!

The room and hotel were BEAUTIFUL!!! The bathroom and was gorgeous!!!! I wanted to remodel my own exactly like this one!!!! The SHOWER!!!! WOW! Everything exceed our expectations. THE STAFF were very friendly and gave us tons of suggestions as to where to eat and what to see. Every staff member we spoke with were SO wonderful and seemed as if they honestly LOVED their jobs and appreciated us as individuals, not just customers. We could not have asked for better staff or a better room. Oh, and the destination was within a block of food, shopping, the harbor and tons of things to look at, such as historical architecture!!! Book this place and you won't be disappointed!

We were a bit surprised with the parking in Portsmouth. It is very expensive, much like San Francisco or other large cities. There was metered off street parking, which is strictly regulated, or valet at the hotel, which is $40 a night. If there were any downsides to the trip, this would have been it. Just don't be surprised. Expect the rates to be high.

clean and upbeat, very nice place perfectly located. Ralph in Valet Parking want above and beyond helping us figure out how to park and knowledgeable about the area. He literally saved me so much time w his guidance. It was my anniversary and Ralph gets the MVP!! Promote this guy, he is rare in the hospitality business!!!

I only stayed one night and didn't experience the whole place, but my daughter is a student at UNH and this will be our home away from home when we visit her!
