Anchorage Inn and Suites

First time staying @ the hotel. All through Covid we stayed in all the hotels except this one (it was always booked)-that's why! Our treks up NH/Maine are always when we can so it's sporadic. Check in, the room was quiet and comfy and beds were comfy! Very clean. Bathroom a tad small/tight, That they cannot do anything about*. They have cold/hot breakfast with delicious orange juice and hot waffles and my husband is a coffee guy and he really liked the hot coffee, so that says alot*!! We travel up Portsmouth frequently, this hotel is great, your stay will be great! Enjoy!!

room was clean, front desk was very helpful

it was under construction so the pool was closed as was the breakfast area, although you could check off something on a paper for a muffin or whatever. also it was next to a highway. unfortunately I hadn’t checked my confirmation until the day we checked in so I couldn’t cancel which I definitely would have. we canceled our second night and went elsewhere.

I was trapped in Portsmouth (I hit a deer) and had to find a hotel at short notice. I stayed the first two nights in the Marriott Courtyard and the second two here. In my experience, this hotel was objectively better (not to mention half the price!). The staff was so helpful. The internet was great (I was trying to work from there and I have many hours of Zooming per day--even the upgraded internet at the Marriott was not up to this). The fitness center had a sauna. It was in walking distance to downtown Portland. The staff was so helpful. I would definitely recommend it.

It needs some love (I was told that it's being renovated). In my room, the wall paper was peeling in the bathroom. In the gym, there was an air conditioner dripping into a bucket. The coffee at breakfast was pretty terrible. But the room was clean and everything was functional. If you want a clean, convenient, but slightly worn, budget option, this is your place!

We liked everything about the place, the room - comfortable bed, nice shower, clean room and facilities, nice lobby & staff, good parking.

The only thing we did not like was the breakfast. They should have at least some scrambled eggs and individual bacon and sausage. Also healthier cereal and oatmeal. And the coffee was terrible! Half of it came out water. It tasted weird and diluted. The only thing good was the waffles. If they improved the breakfast the place would be excellent, because everything else is great!

The hotel was great, seems newly renovated, great number of pillows, two chairs in the room, one was a desk chair that could be lowered to accommodate my 5'4" structure.

I have been told by other hotel owner/ managers to call the hotel directly for the best price and you'll probably get a further discount for calling directly. This time the hotel said the were going to charge me $10 over the booking.com price. So I booked with booking. All the chairs and toilet are meant for long legged people, my feet do not touch the ground when I sit. Recessed light over center of window...not reading chair. Reading chair had no lamp to use while reading. Shower head needs replacing, not a wide stream

The property was actually very clean. I don’t really understand these other reviews. The room was clean and cozy, fridge and microwave in the room, and a nice tv as well. breakfast was very nice as well with waffles, muffins, and juices.

The was a hole in the bathroom door When I called the front desk whoever answer the phone really had the attitude that I was being a nuisance

The room was clean and comfy. The breakfast was a good bonus. The price was attractive.

Looked like there was some constructions and some area smelled bad. At least it did nit smell in our room.

The hotel is dated but we’ll maintained. Everything was clean, safe, and had good staff. For the price, definitely would stay again. Location is very a few miles from downtown and right near freeway which was great.

It’s currently undergoing renovation, so the breakfast area wasn’t ready and I had to grab my breakfast from the reception and take it to my room. Also the location is quite far from the downtown.
