Homewood Suites by Hilton Portsmouth

Being able to have a full kitchen was so great for our family.

When we booked this our stay this year we were thinking laundry was complimentary like it was last year and when we arrived we were told it was 2 dollars to wash and 2 dollars to dry which deterred us from using the laundry facilities entirely. The only other thing that made things a little inconvenient was not having a working phone in our room to be able to contact the front desk for new towels or bathroom necessities we had to go down the 4 floors by stairs or elevator.

This hotel completely exceeded our expectations!!! The pool and gym were exceptionally clean and the outdoor areas had wonderful scenery. The breakfast was delicious. The room was very spacious and the kitchenette made our trip much more convenient. Erin and Priscilla at the front desk were amazing throughout our whole stay!!! We would definitely stay here again!!!!!

Everything was awesome!!! The only thing that was an issue was the breakfast would run out and would take a while to be refilled. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay!!!!!

Check in!-Reception was wonderful. We were greeted warmly- It was fast and friendly. I want to thank them for making our experience pleasant and welcoming. It makes all the difference after a long day. Loved the warm cookies. Our room was clean and very cozy with all the amenities. Bed was comfy. We will definitely stay again!

Honestly, I could not say anything negative. We were going to stay in town. So glad we ventured a bit further because we discovered a great place to stay! Parking was a breeze. Loved the setting and location.

I appreciated being the room right out the elevator. Room was beautiful and well stocked for meals.

The gentleman that checked me in was kind of rude. Very cold and monotone like a telemarketer reading a script. I walked in and he never looked up. He asked me how he could he help me and I said yes checking in. No warm welcome or greeting. Just cold as if he didn’t like his job.

The room was comfortable and spacious, bed was nice and comfy, full size refrigerator in the kitchenette was awesome! Huge parking lot and we were able to park basically right outside our room which was a bonus! Great location for all things Portsmouth, shopping right around the corner was so convenient. Overall was a great stay!!

The grounds were pretty littered with trash which was surprising but, didn't affect our stay. They also show fire pits in the pictures and we were told by the night person at the desk they "have never worked" so that was a bummer and misleading since it was a really nice night. I read a lot of the reviews and they said the pillows were subpar and unfortunately I'd have to agree. Bathroom was a little outdated/dreary and the water pressure wasn't great.

We chose Homewood Suites mainly because of the great promotional rate, the indoor pool, and the free breakfast. Both the pool and the breakfast met our expectations.

Face coverings were only "recommended" and the staff wasn't wearing any despite the current surge of the Omicron variant. Ever heard of leading by example, Hilton?

Kind and helpful staff, very clean throughout, thoughtful layout of the room. Furnishings were updated, comfortable and of good quality. Extra blankets are always appreciated. Appliances and were quite nice as were the in-room coffee and complimentary toiletries. Very happy with the breakfast. The food itself was great but I especially appreciated that it was ready by 6:00 am!! So important for those like myself with work-related travel. Would recommend for families as well.

Our stay at the Portsmouth Homewood suites was very nice. The rooms were very clean and the bed was very comfortable to sleep on. The hotel has a exceptional breakfast in the morning. Cindy who works in the breakfast area was so very nice and her enthusiasm is remarkable. We loved our stay and so convenient to the City of Portsmouth.

Swimming pool was not warm. They charge for parking even though it is far from downtown and can’t access it without a car. Sleeper couch not that comfy

We stayed in a queen suite (two rooms w/ kitchen) with our kids (16, 13, 10). It was a good size for the five of us! We were able to get a roll in bed, which was a great size, and there was even plenty of room for that!

The comfort of the pull out bed was sub par. Very springy. The roll in bed was much more comfortable per my kids.
