Hilton Garden Inn Ithaca

This was our family's first visit since I graduated Cornell in 2009. We chose this location due to the proximity to the downtown commons, and to our favorite restaurant ('Taste of Thai'). The hotel did not disappoint us with clean, modern interior and a friendly staff. The beds were firm and comfy, and our family had no problems in sleeping. The hotel also has a great view in that on our floor (4th), we could see the campus on the hills! Do note that you will have to check in before you park your car, as the front gives you a parking permit. Use the valet parking location for that purpose at first. We will definitely reconsider visiting the place again in the future.

The hotel is located in downtown area, so you might not feel too safe. However, I have not heard of security issues during my student days here.

Loved the hot tub, comfy bed, staff was great. Just misunderstanding of bill, was told different of payment and not expecting that much, but was worth the stay. Glad Kilpatrick was connected and was very delicious. The breakfast was very good as well.

Just bill and being told over the phone by staff one lower amount and then getting higher bill, but it's ok, was worth the stay.

I loved the people. Everyone working was kind, with awesome courtesy. There was an easiness in the air, all employees seemed to be happy and willing to help, the energy was very calm… I used the hot tub and it was clean, hot and wonderful. Good breakfast, tasty potatoes with rosemary and eggs, cheeses, fresh fruit, oats, coffee, milk, tea, juices… croissants, different breads, boiled eggs, ham, sausages…Extra towels upon request were much appreciated. We needed extended check out for one extra hour and were not charged for it. Thank you!

I didn’t like that I couldn’t use the indoor pool that was open, but with what looked like very dirty water, green and dark.

Spotlessly clean hotel and very supportive staff. Appears to coming for the culture Hilton has created with their hotels. Parking next door was great option.

the location by the Commons is fun. the room was spacious and the bed comfortable. having a Starbucks, a pub and a hotel place to get a hot breakfast was great. parking included in price.

the sink faucet had a very small water flow. the AC didn’t seem to be as cool as the display showed. I would have like a second chair in the King room as there was a corner of the room which was large but empty.

There was no complimentary breakfast as I'd hoped for a room of this price. There was lemon water (free!) in the lobby.

I would have liked there to be bagels and coffee offered in the morning, as I paid $380 per night and stayed for three nights. I would have liked there to be a full disclosure of the pet policy online when I paid for the non-refundable room.

Good location to visit Cornell. We walked to the campus on the 1st day and rode a bus on the 2nd day. Ithaca Common is across the street and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. Clean room and free parking in the nearby garage.

Unless staying on the top floor, there is a very limited view.

Location was good and safe. Staff was courteous and very helpful. We did not have breakfast.

The price. I paid over $500 for a room that would've otherwise been under $200. Booked through priceline, so could've been the reason or could be bcoz of that particular weekend due to Cornell admitted student days!

Everything was very good for this type of property. It isn’t luxury, but that isn’t what this is. It was very expensive, but it was a sold out parent weekend. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and clean. The location was very convenient. Would definitely stay here again.
