Super 8 by Wyndham Ithaca

The staff was very helpful and friendly . They were accommodating and I would say this hotel is family friendly and pet friendly ! Water pressure in the shower was great and a the water was always hot . The room was clean and i wasn’t nervous letting my 1 year old crawl around . I loved the fresh bottles of milk for your cereal in the morning, and the bottles of water available at reception. The location is great as we had to make a night run to a local store to pick up some grocery items

The location is very close to Cornell University, the reason we were there.. The breakfast was very good, not like the Super 8 by Wyndham in New Jersey. Close to the grocery was a plus.

The curtains were just a little too short for the window.. No elevators, very hard to carry up the luggage.

It’s well located, the room was clean.

A lot of noise from the outside. Our room smelled like the previous guest smoked cigarettes inside the room, even the bathroom smelled like tobacco. Breakfast could be better, maybe add eggs, fruits. The breakfast is all sugar. Bed wasn’t too comfortable (the mattress was too hard)

The location was close to everything we wanted to do. The facilities weren’t brand new, but it wasn’t in disrepair. The staff were very nice. It was a grab and go breakfast because of COVID. We would stay here again.

The television set up was very difficult to work. At times we couldn’t get it to turn on. The outside door that was located down the side of the building would not accept the key to get into the facilities.

The room was dark and comfortable when I go to sleep. It was sound proof nicely and so quiet when I went to sleep. Although during Covid there was no free hot breakfast but they compensate it with good cleaning service as I kept seeing the staffs cleaning rooms in the passage. We also had free bottled water and chocolate chips cookies at the front desk. It was very close to Cornell University and finger lake. I really appreciate they did give us two rooms next to each other. The room was small and I didn't have a counter space to make coffee. But considering the price it really worth it.

No hot breakfast during covid. I hope there was some oatmeal at least.

Inside the facility is much better than expected. Staff is friendly and helpful. Bathroom is well maintained with plenty of towers. It's a quiet place inside although right at a busy intersection.

Facility outside can have some uplift. This part of town may need some work from the township.

convenient to downtown and local shopping. microwave and refrigerator appreciated. we made our reservations on the road, on our way to the property and everything went great in spite of of late night arrival.

light-out draperies did not have a thinner option underneath to allow daytime light in so room was very dark ALL the time, even with provided lamps

The location near downtown is excellent. The room was comfortable, although felt pretty small for a queen double. Room and bathroom were clean, although the bathroom looked like it had not had a truly thorough cleaning in awhile - but between Covid and staffing shortages this was entirely understandable. Completely satisfied, given price and location.

Could have had better variety/quality in packaged breakfast items (there were only small, overly sweet muffins).

the building itself was dated even though the rooms were updated. the lock on the side access door frequently would not read my key. I observed other guests having the same issue

We had a great experience at Super 8 in Ithaca. The receptionist was wonderful, efficiently checking us in. The hotel had modern furniture, and the live flowers in the breakfast area and at the reception were a lovely touch.
