The Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel

The spacious and comfortable rooms made for a relaxing stay. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. The hotel's central location made exploring the city a breeze. The breakfast buffet offered a diverse selection of delicious options. The high-speed Wi-Fi was great for staying connected and getting some work done.

The noise from the nearby construction site was quite bothersome. The in-room air conditioning unit was somewhat loud and made it difficult to sleep. Overall, not too bad, but don't come during construction times.

I loved how clean it was and the fact that it was newly renovated. I also like how comfortable the bed was.

The breakfast was so so. For the high price, I expected that it would at least have fresh bagel and not previously frozen and soggy bagels - I had to heat it for long i the toaster and then it was good. However, I recommend adding an extra toaster - there was a wait for that one toaster. I expected real cups and for drinks and not paper and plastic!

Helpful staff. Clean room with nicer finishes than expected. Great water pressure. Good location. Good free breakfast and garage parking. Will return.

Cleaning staff constantly running vacuums and knocking on doors all morning before check out times. Ignored do not disturb sign and knocked with still time before check out. Bathroom lighting could be better. Either super bright or nothing. We used our phones at night. Expensive rates for the area.

The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable . The staff was very comfortable. The location was in walking distance to the venue Revel 32 . The complimentary breakfast was good. The only complaint was the renovation going on was a little distracting during the day. But by the night the noise stopped. Obviously to be expected during any construction, but I definitely would stay at this hotel again. I would definitely recommend staying to anyone.

Complimentary breakfast in a ballroom! The food was good and setting was much better than a typical hotel. Very high ceilings and chandeliers. They switched us to a different room right away without any questions when we complained about entering our room and smelling old smoke. Competitive pricing on a busy weekend in August.

The second double bed in our room felt really bad. We only needed one bed so we didn't use the other one, but the mattress one sank unevenly when I sat on it for a second. It would have been a really poor night of rest if anyone had slept on it.

Nice facilities

Security came banging on my door at 6am when I was getting ready to go work telling me thet I was talking too loud. I will never stay here again it was a ridiculous claim. If you’re walls are too thin or you have other customers who have issues that’s not my problem. I’m allowed to talk in my paid hotel room.

The newly refurbished room was incredible! Tile floor, modern barhroom. Excellent. The kind and helpful staff, free parking, free shuttle, adj to transit hub ... plus the chihuli chandelier in the lobby!

Breakfast was very good, much higher standard than other more budget hotels. Location was great, parking was free. Bed was comfortable and 4 nice pillows provided.

Room needed maintenance. Ceiling above window was peeling and falling on floor due to prior water damage. Toilet seat was loose and toilet ran. Seems like the toilet running would have been noticed by cleaning staff.

The purpose of my stay was for Marist’s parent’s weekend. The hotel was well located, clean, offered free parking and breakfast, and the staff was very courteous.

My only negative is that the hotel could use a facelift.
