Hampton Inn by Hilton New Paltz, NY

Unfortunately, we had a fire drill at 9 p.m. that took approximately 30 minutes to complete. Woke us out of a dead sleep. We were never accounted for. No one told us to reenter the building. We just went back in because everyone else was. It was tough to go back to sleep after raising everyone's anxiety level. We stay here every year, so I can't complain about one fire drill. The facilities are awesome,it's very clean, the location is perfect and the price is "bit high" but you pay for what you get. Breakfast is wonderful. The pool area is nice.

The unexpected fire drill so late when folks have to get up early. There is no organization to the drill. There is no accountability for people at all. No apology to anyone. No one told us we could renter the building. We were standing in the rain with a homeless man shouting obscenities at us. Sane homeless person we saw spit on a car and pound on their window earlier that day!

Friendly helpful receptionist and staff. Very comfortable bed, comforter, pillow. Good shower. My partner forgot his tooth brush and tooth paste. Receptionist supplied replacements. Also my partner went swimming and enjoyed the pool. Liked that breakfast was included. I was offered an upgrade because I am an honors member. But unfortunately didn't not see it because I did not check my email till after we checked in.

The fact that I didn't see the email about the upgrade and missed it. When I inquired about it when I made the reservation, I received an email telling me an upgrade would not be possible because all the rooms had just 2 queen beds. So I didn't bother to check whether I got an upgrade. Then when the offer was made it said there was a room with a king bed. So I was confused about the first email that was sent to me. If the first email had said I should have kept checking for an upgrade I would have done so. However I was very happy with my room. No complaints.

Loved the staff, cleanliness, pool, gym, breakfast and overall good place

The beds seemed so small that my husband and i could not fit comfortably on the bed. He had to sleep on other bed in room on our only get away from kids. He is average size for man and im average size for woman. We have a queen size bed at home and sleep comfortably but for some reason we walked into the room and immediately said these beds are a full instead of queen. When i called front desk they said they only have queen sizes. Im not sure if there are differ versions of queen size beds? We have an average queen size bed so we didnt expect a huge bed but didnt expect such a small bed either. This was very disappointing. Especially because we paid so much for the room. I was actually upset we paid so much and they wouldnt price match the room the day we came.

We stayed for my niece's wedding in the area. Room wasn't ready until 3PM, which was ok, we had some things to do in the area. Room was clean and spacious. The lobby area where breakfast is served had hot coffee and tea etc. all day and fresh baked cookies that were delicious! Close to town, can walk to anything in town.

The bathroom and closet shared the same door that slid from one side to the other with no lock, which amy be a problem for some people-not the most private. Pool is supposed to be heated; but was too cold for me!

I loved the clean, beautiful ,quiet room! The whole building was well designed and pleasing, and it did "shout" at one in anyway but was inviting snd welcoming. The bed was super comfortable and he plllows just right. The location was easy to spot and bear the road but landscaped for privacy. Thank you for the restful.stay!

The service at the desk was not particularly welcoming. Only one person smiled snd made rye contact. See above.

SUCH a nice location and hotel! Beyond clean, great staff, awesome breakfast. Zero complaints! Will definitely be back.

Everything feels more expensive today, so it's not a total surprise that it wasn't the cheapest stay, but wasn't insanely over-priced either.

1. Decent gym equipment and a spacious enough fitness center. The machines were a little spread out. 2. Microwave in room 3. Adjustable shower settings 4. Quiet and peaceful 5. Free breakfast and coffee

1.coffee maker in room was broken 2. Shower was messy. The curtain wasn’t big enough and water was flooding the bathroom floorz used up all my towels to clean it 3. No robe and NO SLIPPERS 4. No showrcap

The hotel is beautiful! Everything is super clean, from the lobby to the room to the breakfast and sitting areas. Staff was friendly, and check-in was a smooth and quick process. The beds, and really the room overall, were really comfortable. Great choices for breakfast!

Honestly, I can't thinking of anything I didn't like!

We were very pleased with our stay. The room was clean, spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was surprisingly good for a buffet, with scrambled eggs, western omelets, turkey sausage, and the usual other items--breads, oatmeal, yogurt, and fruit. If I am in need of a hotel in that area, I would definitely stay again and recommend it to others.

Excellent breakfast and beautiful facilities! Bed was very comfortable and the room was clean! The staff was also very accommodating - we had a brief mix-up with the nightly rate not matching what we had booked online and the young woman at the front desk was apologetic, kind, and took care of it immediately! Definitely the place to stay in New Paltz!

They didn't have their yummy cookies available like they normally do at the Hampton Inn!
