Americas Best Value Inn New Paltz

Room was clean and comfortable. It was a typical motel room with basic amenities.

Breakfast was adequate but sparse. We were there Thursday and Friday. I did notice that quests arriving for the weekend were given a welcome gift bag and the Saturday breakfast had more choices.

I liked the location and value of the hotel. It felt like a fairly new property - clean and in good repair. Our room was on the first floor toward the highway and similarly clean and in good shape. No problems with road noise. The Continental breakfast was good with adequate selection. Parking was free, and there were no hidden charges. The bath was clean and shower was strong. We made use of the guest laundry. That was well appointed, easy to use and reasonably-priced coin machines. You could also buy detergent for the laundry. Finally, compared to the neighboring hotel, this one was a much better value.

There was very little not to like about the hotel. This and that could have been fancier or the breakfast could have had fancier options, but this hotel is about best value, and they really did a good job in addressing their market.

Clean, comfortable, perfect location to drive (or even walk) into the main part of town. Supermarkets and restaurants right around the corner. Check in was easy and every member of staff I met was helpful, friendly, and very nice. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean and we were very happy with our stay.

Not many options for breakfast if you are gluten free, it would've been nice to have some eggs or something. But no big deal! Everything else

The room was large, very clean, fresh, and comfortable. There was a coffee maker with coffee packs, microwave, mini fridge, air conditioning that worked great, and windows that opened for fresh air. The bathroom had one of those small hairdryers attached to the wall, soap, and a kit which contained shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion. There was maid service every day, but we chose not to have anyone come in since it was just the weekend. The housekeeping was always around so we had no issue getting new towels, more coffee, and additional toiletries. There was an ice maker right down the hall with vending machines for drinks and snacks. We were able to check in early and the staff was friendly as well as accommodating. The room was not fancy, but had everything a person would need. If we would have stayed next door it would have been almost another $100 per night and I can’t imagine it would have been that much better. We didn’t have the breakfast, but my boyfriend took a look and he said there was bread, danish, cereal, yogurt, fruit cocktail cups, waffles, and maybe some cakes. I don’t know if there was juice, but definitely coffee.

I really have nothing negative to say. They didn’t have an elevator so if you have any issue going up and down some stairs be sure to get a room on the 1st floor. For us this was not a negative. As a matter of fact we requested the 2nd floor so there would be no one above us.

When I made the reservation asked for extra pillows for my husband who must sleep sitting up because of breathing problems. THe young woman at the reservations desk called me and said that she had a handicap room with a recliner. IT was wonderful. Hubby had a good night's sleep, Breakfast was good , Room was clean, IT was probably the best room we have been in in over 200 bookings over the years.

I usually find hotel coffee too bland for my taste. The automatic coffee machine in the breakfast room had options for espresso and dark roast. I didn't have to stop for stronger coffee on the road since my triple shot of espresso was very good.

The pillows seemed smaller than standard size which didn't really support my sleep position comfortably. I asked for extra pillows at the front desk and they were very accommodating.

it was quiet clean convenient location. the front desk manager gave us a friendly welcome when we arrived. checkin was quick. the housekeeping staff was cheerful polite and courteous. the continental breakfast was adequate. our entire visit was pleasingly pleasant from the warm friendly welcome by Gail the front desk person to the daily encounters with the staff. I would stay here again

On this trip, I didn't need something over the top or extravagant. I just needed a comfortable bed and a clean room...can't overstate either of those and I wasn't disappointed. Very comfortable bed and literally one of the cleanest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. I will definitely stay there again. PS-the staff was fantastic, as well. :)

The staff was so friendly and accommodating. I was traveling with my 89 year old mother in law. They went out of their way to make sure I had a comfy bed because I was extremely tired and they moved her to a room with a handicapped shower and offered to let us check out late. They were so understanding and helpful!

I loved everything

The staff at the front desk was very kind and helpful. They help us and answered all of our questions. The room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. Also the hotel is very close to the Interstate 87 so it's usefull after a long trip from Virginia Beach to get some rest before going back to Canada.
