Hilton Garden Inn Riverhead

Super comfy room at a decent price. We have traveled to NOFO may times and often stay in Riverhead on our trips - this was the first time staying at the Hilton Inn and was pleasantly surprised. The room was large and very clean - a very comfortable night's sleep. Breakfast was included in our room rate and the meal was fine, though there was a large party staying in the hotel that night and the staff was a little overwhelmed in the morning.

Location is a bit weird - given where it's located on the main road you have to drive a short distance away from Riverhead before turning around to head back into town. Not the worse thing in the world but it did add to the Uber tabs when we were heading into town for dinner.

Overall this is a very good value for Long Island, easy to get to from the highway, but not near any beaches. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, very clean. The hotel is pet friendly - we brought our dog. Breakfast was excellent, but the buffet is not currently open. The breakfast vouchers are good for any a la carte breakfast order instead.

The door to the room has a spring that is so hard to open that it was hard to get in and out of the room while carrying anything - the door would slam on you, but still had to be pulled shut to latch. Minor complaint though - overall the hotel was great.

The in-room hot tub was the entire reason I booked the King Suite, and it did not disappoint. I enjoyed a nice, long soak in total privacy, it was heavenly. The price was extremely reasonable as well. I had a great stay.

The breakfast was slightly expensive and our omelette was dry and not very good. Also, the towels are a bit small, making it difficult to dry oneself after soaking in the hot tub.

Check in went smoothly and front desk clerk was very nice. We interacted with the bartender and she too was very nice.

Slow drain or clog in bathroom sink (told front desk clerk) Noisy AC unit (room 336) Was not able to obtain a printed receipt at checkout because I was told it was because I used Booking.com The pending cost is higher than what I booked it for. Incidental charge should come off account as soon as actual payment is confirmed - no need to have it holding up availability in one’s account for needless lengths of time. Hotels in general are getting into this habit too often now and it’s messing with people’s cash flow and finances. We thought to extend our stay by a night and were shocked at how much the cost of the room went up to …. By the hundreds! The property is not worth that cost regardless of the situation.

staff was incredibly friendly, the facility is very clean and well put together, I paid a great price for a few nights leading to Thanksgiving for a room with an amazing jacuzzi tub right next to the bed, dimming lights, very comfortable bed. I have done alot of traveling, and stayed at my share of sketchy hotels, this place was a breath of fresh air, good price yet you get a very high end and pleasant experience. literally across the street from great shopping outlets and less then 5 minutes from tons of food options

The staff was uneven in attentiveness. Dec 28 manager was very proactive with keeping breakfast moving Dec 29 there didn’t seem to be a manager at all and the one server was unable to keep up. We chose to forego the complimentary breakfast which we had enjoyed so much the previous day.

One of the days we had friends coming over to enjoy the outdoor hot tub and the staff was nice enough to lite the fireplace earlier than usual. Thank you very much.

The fact that if you need to go downtown you need to make a right to go actually left. But I know the geography there is not the best in that area.

The location was great. We were coming from Southampton and we were happy to see places to eat and Tanger Outlets were close by. The service was great. From dinner at the bar to the breakfast in the morning , the food was delicious and the service was friendly and welcoming.

There was some confusion about check in with the residence inn phone number but we got it straight.

I traveled with my wife and 2 adult children (21 & 28). At check-in, the receptionist took a while to figure things out, then said, I want to offer you a free upgrade to a single King size bed. I had reserved 2 queen size beds to fit the 4 of us. Going from 2 Queens to 1 King does not seem to be an upgrade to me, especially when you have to fit 4 adult people in beds.

All the amenities were great. We truly enjoyed ourselves . The location was central to everything especially the Tanger Outlet which was right across the street.

The fire alarm going off a couple of times per day was definitely a nuisance. Otherwise everything was fantastic.
