Residence Inn by Marriott New York Long Island East End

Location at entrance ramp to highway a joke. Have to go 3 or 4 miles just to make a left out of the hotel. No reason not to put a traffic light and left turn access in front of hote.

Tub did not drain well.

Cleanliness. Breakfast was nicely laid out and a person was assigned to organize the service. They already had my reservation details therefore the check in was easy.

The hotel is located close to a shopping center, which is on the other side of the road. There is no way to cross the road. Exit from the hotel is one way to the right. Even by car, one needs to drive a long distance to find a U turn.

they had WAY to many people in the pool area it was ridiculous and chaos.. most hotels I’ve been too have rooms sign up for a time slot.. the sign said no more than 10 people and there was over 50/60 all at once.. nd the following morning there was atleast 25/30 people in the pool and the hotel had NO towels (they don’t have overnight staff to wash laundry apparently) for everyone and everyone had to walk to there rooms soaking wet and cold.. and then there was a room down the hall partying after 11 pm and the room above us sounded like they was renovating it and my kids & the neighboring room couldn’t sleep at all until staff addressed it.. it takes a lot for me to complain but this was ridiculous

The Best Residence Inn we have stayed at. Loved the big bathroom and excellent shower pressure. Room was large, comfortable and clean. Loved the sofa setup for comfort and practical use. The included breakfast was above average. We did not use the kitchen bet it had everything you would need. Easy parking and good location for getting around Long Island.

The building was newer, well maintained and clean; the housekeeping staff did a great job. Beds were comfy. Parking was ample and accessible. The indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs were fantastic. It's pricey, but par for the area.

The breakfast, adjusted for COVID, was NOT good for families; the limited choices we were offered were very "adult" -- egg whites on whole wheat, hot oatmeal. There is nowhere to eat nearby. There was a little convenience area with snacks, but the prices were outrageous - probably because they know there is nothing else to eat!

The staff at the hotel is amazing. We spoke with Pamela, Hugh, Chris and Ralph They were all so helpful and professional. The pool areas and hot tubs were spotless and the fire pit and gas grill were top of the line. We will be back. Thank you.

I loved that the property was so close to Splish splash and I also loved that the property had outdoor and indoor Jacuzzi and pool also the bonfire was very nice. The staff was absolutely amazing best staff that I have seen at any hotel ever! they were kind and very accommodating.

There was absolutely nothing that I did not like about the property

The property is very new and nice. Everything seems clean and well-maintained, and the room layout (King suite) was very thoughtful and comfortable for our small family, including a dressing area and a large TV that rotated from the bedroom to living/sitting area. The kitchenette was so convenient, with a full refrigerator, dishwasher, stovetop and coffee maker; never any concerns about cleanliness. We also enjoyed the pool and two hot tubs -- the outdoor one was warm enough to enjoy even when it was chilly out!

The management of pool access (due to COVID) was a bit scattered. Great to have rules, not so great when they are applied inconsistently. Breakfast was just OK (reheated eggs and sad oatmeal three days in a row -- no muffins or bagels?). The location is a bit of a pain for visiting Riverhead/NF as you have to drive some distance and do a strange left U-turn to get back to the main road. Technically it's within walking distance to outlets, Starbucks etc. but I wouldn't advise trying to walk.

I have traveled to the area for work and stayed with the hotel a couple of times. I was able to use the pools this time and LOVED IT. Staff, location (tanger outlets around the corner) and rooms are all superb!
