I stayed in the presidential Suite with my husband, my daughter, and our dog. I would have liked some more carpeting in the space. The only carpet was in the living room. It was very cold in there and the central heat didn’t work in the bedroom. We had to blast the heat and keep the bedroom door open. I think if pets are invited, customers should be able to rent dog bowls, or they should be in the suites at least. There was no rub in the bathroom but the bathroom was beautiful. Also, under the couch in living room was dirty. Extra sheets and blankets available upon request. The bed was not the most discreet either. I considered sleeping on the couch bc the springs would shout every time I twisted. The staff was absolutely amazing, and we were compensated for our trouble. I would recommend this hotel and I’m going back. The price is right and the location was perfect! I would just tell guests to call ahead and ask the staff to turn the heat up in the suite in the morning so it’s warm when you check in.

The room was clean.

we made the reservation and included our pet in the reservation and there was no mention of a fee. I was expecting around $15. When we arrived they said the fee was $50 non refundable. A little steep in my opinion.

Front desk manager must be en pointe because they have the best, most professional front desk clerks I've experienced in a long time. Dave was most notable, warm and friendly but not fake at all, really welcoming and a pro. Bonus points for him keeping good humor during Xmas eve check ins. The room was a surprise since I saw the Genesee Grand when it was being decorated, now it's a bit plain with the S.U. colors. But it's nice regardless. Comfy beds and pillows, quiet, heat worked well (necessary in Syracuse winter!). The housekeeping staff is en pointe also, the room was spotless! Thankfully easy parking. Near to campus. Overall a win.

Well they can't do anything about the weather

The room was clean and the location was an easy walk onto campus and nearby restaurants. This is the perfect location to stay in if you are visiting the campus with a prospective student or if you have a student attending the University. I will definitely be visiting again with my family when my son attends in the fall

The room temperature was too hot but this was explained to us upon arrival. Temperature adjustment did take through the evening. Other people may complain about this but I did not find this unmanageable.

Wow! We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. It was amazing. We lucked out somehow and got the room for $150 after tax and fees. What a deal! We would stay again. 2 big bedrooms with queen beds, a big living area and a full kitchen with a full fridge and dish washer. A++. Staff was great. Check in was a bit lengthy and parking wasn’t free but other than that, no complaints. Parking was close.

I had classic salmon platter - delicious! My husband said the garbage plate was also good! Overall my review is outstanding for the hotel staff most especially April! She was the most hospitable, kindest and knowledgeable staff! All of the staff so far are very accommodating! The hotel room is so nice, very clean and amenities are updated!! Very highly recommended!!

The wifi is not strong this weekend!

Accommodations were outstanding, staff was great bed was comfortable.

I didn't like that there was not an oven in the kitchen. I had a stove and a full kitchen which included a dishwasher. Stainless steel appliances, Kitchen appliances were beautiful. However it was hard to prepare Thanksgiving dinner without an oven. It said full kitchen I assumed an oven would be included.

I liked how it felt clean, comfortable, safe. I like how convenient it was to the hospital for my surgery and around the corner from my favorite restaurant, Strong Hearts.

Things could of been moved to clean behind but the visible things were cleaned and smelled clean.

This hotel has a wonderful atmosphere, was clean, updated, and I loved the non-carpeted floors, roomy shower, and relative quiet. Had a nice conversation with the person at check-in and there was ample and safe parking in the back! Also liked the controls for temp in the room which worked well. Thanks for a great stay.

I wish there had been some hot or cool water at check-in.

Room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable and the towels were plush and thick. The shower was hot and had great water pressure. Everyone was extremely nice and very helpful.

The air didn’t work, no matter what I did it was still warm air coming out. Maybe because it’s New York winter, not sure but I prefer a colder room. There was also a fridge but no microwave, that was a little disappointing.
