Hampton Inn Black Mountain

We loved the view of town and the room being close to the stairs and side door! We have stayed here many times while visiting Black Mountain and have always had good experiences.

I don't eat dairy so I would've enjoyed a few dairy free options for breakfast. A dairy free coffee creamer (or even just a non-dairy milk for cereal, etc.) would've been a great start! We also would've enjoyed having a water bottle filling station on our floor. There is one on the ground level, but none as you go up. This makes getting a quick drink rather inconvenient, unless you're willing to drink the sink water, which doesn't taste that great IMO.

Getting to the hotel via Uber, Lyft, etc is easy, but nearly impossible to get out of there in the same manner. if you stay at this hotel it is best to have a rental or your own car, because ride share drivers are not going to be in the area unless you happen to catch them dropping someone off- usually from the airport. I ended up contacting a taxi and they charged me nearly 5x the amount that Uber or Lyft would. That was extremely stressful and off putting about the location of the hotel. In the future this is something that would deter me from returning as a customer. A hotel shuttle would help a lot.

The staff were so friendly and responsive to anything we requested. The coffee was good and very hot. I wished they had regular half & half creamer, but they didn't. The other breakfast items they offered were just fine. Not exceptional food choices, but what you would expect to be "included" at a hotel like this. The hotel is located conveniently to the freeway and was just a mile or so away from their town square, which was so fun to explore. We would definitely return if back in the Asheville/Black Mountain NC area.

I really cannot complain about anything. It was pleasantly a little better than I expected.

Hampton is always very good: clean, friendly, fresh and various breakfast, clean working indoor pool. amazing location, you can see mountains and the small river near the hotel

Breakfast was great: fruits, yogurt, old fashioned oatmeal, omelet with vegetables, It was enough various breakfast, but, unfortunately, there weren’t any meat options. Although I highly recommended this place

We could not change the channel on either of the TV's at breakfast - they were both on the Weather Channel and the staff said neither TV was allowed to be changed, which was disappointing since we had kids with us. C'mon, you could have changed ONE of the TV's! :(

The location was great. Just 15 minutes from the Biltmore. Little town was cute. Bed was cozy and room/bathroom was clean. AC was cool. I had a 3 month old, 3 year old, 12 year old, my spouse and myself and there was plenty of room and space for us and a pack and play. Pool was clean just a little to salty or had too many chemicals. Burned our eyes later that night. Everything went great.

The pool had too many chemicals or salt. It burned our eyes later on that night. We had a room on the entrance/ town side and the outside lights were a little bright. We chose that side because the front desk had mentioned the interstate side was a little loud at night. The rooms did have double shades but the light still came through a little. Other than that it was great!

SUPER CLEAN hotel with friendly helpful staff! The rooms were tastefully decorated, well appointed with all the necessary comforts and then some. Bathroom was newly decorated with a fabulous shower. I saw the detail they took in turning over the room next to ours. Serious clean! We grabbed a drink and food in the lobby/bar when we arrived. Very convenient and typically priced. Complimentary breakfast was the best variety we've ever seen at a hotel. Lots of fresh options. If all Hamptons are like this, this is our new hotel of choice.

Wish they had a hot tub.

Hotel seems new. Our room and common areas of the hotel are cozy plus squeaky clean! The lady at the front desk who checked us in was really nice. She gave me all the infos I needed. Good parking area. indoor Pool , small gym and a garden. Near the main Highway. Affordable. Felt very safe. Exceeded our expectations. Will def stay there again!

Beautiful, spacious, contemporary king room. Comfortable bed with soft sheets and great pillows. The bathroom was very nice with a huge shower. The room was immaculate. The window shades were fantastic. Staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast spread was exceptional with a great variety of options. Excellent location ... you can walk to restaurants, quickly access the highway to Asheville and Blue Ridge Parkway.

The towels were rough. They were "Hilton brand" and felt cheap and like they were a few years old. For a room this nice, you expect big, fluffy, soft towels! Also, the A/C unit was quite noisy. I heard it go on even though I sleep with ear plugs.

I liked that the pool was indoor, and it had a big window that you were able to look out of with an amazing view of the mountains. They had a little store in the inside of the lobby with 24 hr assistance, with fresh coffee available at any time of the day.

After a certain time if you weren't already in the pool the doors automatically lock the doors despite if you left something in there. The bathrooms downstairs were very spic and span.
