Staybridge Suites - Charlotte Ballantyne, an IHG Hotel

The employees that worked in the breakfast area were extremely pleasant throughout our entire stay they went above and beyond to make our experience good.

On arrival the desk Clerk was not helpful after I showed her my confirmation number she kept insisting she didn't have a reservation for me under that number instead of try to apologize and get me a room she then told me I could get a room but I would have to pay the walk-in price. At no time did she seem sorry for my inconvenience. we had a family 14 people to be staying there for that period my suggestion is to remind the employees that even if the guest is confused or and error was made in the system try to be emphatic to their needs. I have been in customer service for 40 years, and I know it can be difficult, but staying pleasant is the key to return business.

The hotel was clean, the breakfast was great, and the location was near everything. Best of all - the entire staff was friendly. Even spoiled a few of my family members with grits for breakfast. The social evenings were good to hear about, but it was the day before we left, so I couldn't participate. My girls loved the they had their own room and bathroom this hotel stay.

Breakfast variety would be an excellent added touch. For example, orange and apple juice, pancakes instead of waffles, hash instead of potatoes - but it's no big deal because the breakfast was good.

Room was clean, beds were comfortable. All worked fine. Perfect for our stay. Pet fee for my little 8 pound toy rat terrier was a little pricey. Breakfast was good.

Pet fee high, one fork in drawer for 3 of us, two towels, hand towels and wash cloths for 3 people. We could get more, had to go pick up sheets and blankets for the fold out couch for my 17 year old. I am a big component for if you know the room is for 3 people equip everything for # of people that are staying. Guest paying the price to stay in their rooms customer service needs to be top priority. 40 years in a jobs that demanded the customer comes first, this definitely could have been better. You need more waffle making machines. Stood in line forever to wait to make a waffle. I give a 10 for comfort, cleanliness, and friendly staff but a 7 on customer service!

This was a very nice place to stay. I always appreciate having a kitchen when I travel so that I do not have to rely on restaurants all of the time. The pool was under construction, so if that is an important element for you, I would suggest you check with the property ahead of time. It was quiet, the wifi was great for my work, and the people in general, very friendly.

The staff was very friendly, complimentary coffee included with breakfast was great. The facility was very clean and worth the price.

Coffee pot included in room was filthy and had built up water scum in the inside could tell it hadn’t been cleaned in awhile. Only was one fork included in the kitchen. Very disturbing loud dog on our last night but other than that I definitely give this hotel a 9 out of 10.

The wonderful staff!!! They all smile and I felt right at home. Hotel is very clean. Room was very very clean. The bathrooms were clean. We enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub!! The breakfast was hot and fresh everyday!! Walk to restaurants. Convenient to highway 485, which takes you to anywhere.

The Staff was Amazingly friendly besides the management not understanding or listening to us about getting bitten the first night on my feet and ankles in the room. I asked to have a bigger room non pet n a more comfortable for my son but was told they will check room and also be a up charge of $1100.

ask to switch a room to a bigger cause of comfort & gotten bitten by something at nighttime and said it would be 1100 more which I wasn’t going to do because I could of went across the street for that price. so I washed my own sheets and towels because the manager said I didn’t get bitten there they went in and checked the room…..which I did at night time had the marks on feet and ankles. after I washed sheets everything was fine also made the other sofa bed more comfortable for my son ourselves. All the other staff was helpful and friendly and amazing just the management didn’t listen to us or believe us to help us not the ones to complain so we handle it ourselves.

Very nice place to stay with the family. Nice pool and good breakfast Everyone there was really nice and willing to help, especially the GM Mr. Dinkins, who always met us with a smile on his face. We will definitely come back

Spacious room. There is a kitchen and all the facilities. Dogs friendly.

The carpet was dirty. Even when we asked to do additional vacuum cleaning, it didn't help.(we found someone's cut nail, fruit pits, and other dirt.) The pool is also dirty, they do not clean it often enough.

The place was so quiet and very nice staff and the layout of the suites is perfect. I come to Charlotte often to visit family and I will definitely stay at the Staybridge. Also the breakfast was awesome. Loved everything about it and I usually stay at the Marriott Courtyard across the street but I think I will be staying at the Staybridge from now on.
