Hampton Inn & Suites - Raleigh Downtown

Breakfast was good. Just would have preferred waffles that weren’t like dessert. I stay at Home2Suites and the waffles are multigrain or more like traditional waffles. Everything else was good. The coffee was very good. I liked the choice of roast. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and odor free. The temperature was easy to control. It is in an area with a lot of nightlife but I wasn’t disturbed by the noise. We were on an upper floor on the side with fewer establishments so maybe that made a difference too.

Just the waffle batter being more like cake batter. The fitness equipment in the exercise room was top of the line. They just need to periodically check the exercise ball to make sure it is inflated. It sank when I was trying to use it.

Jaime at the front desk was fantastic. She gave us early check-in, after a red-eye, and gave us a room on the quiet side of the hotel. It was downtown and on a holiday weekend with lots of activity on the street. Jaime was very helpful with information of local activities for visitors. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming. The location was great for walking to restaurants, bars and businesses. Parking was very convenient.

The pillows. Seems more and more hotels are providing "sofa sized" flat pillows.

All the staff were super friendly. Overall clean hotel and location was why we picked it. Great breakfast and again super staff. It is a noisy hotel at night (the downtown nightlife) I knew this before going, but if you need quiet for sleeping-hahaha your not going to get it.

Think they are in process of upgrading rooms, our room was starting to show wear and for the money should be kept in 'better' 'newer' condition. They are not kidding about the noise at night.... its real.

The location is brilliant, right by the bars and restaurants, but was told to be aware of noise. I had a room that literally looked out onto the Raleigh Beer Garden and it was fine, no need for ear plugs or anything.

The breakfast was a bit disappointing. I expected at least real plates and cutlery, not polystyrene plates and plastic cutlery.

Jamel and the front desk staff were so friendly and professional and helpful. The room was spacious enough. The gym equipment was new and clean. The breakfast had good options.

Be aware of the noise from the surrounding bars - you'll hear it from the hotel. Doesn't matter to me because I can go to sleep easily but if you're a light sleeper, the hotel does supply ear plugs.

Lily & Josh we're EXCEPTIONAL!!! They both went above and beyond to help make sure our stay was the best it could possibly be. We were celebrating our Anniversary that happens to be on Valentine's Day & they helped us have an EXCELLENT stay. My Wife & I are extremely grateful for all of their help & the courtesy they extended to us....

Perfect for a night away for a wedding - it was loud but we were okay with it because we were there to enjoy the night! It was very clean and the staff was amazing. If we decided to go back to downtown Raleigh we would stay again.

It was loud until 2 am. If we had children with us it would have been nearly impossible to sleep. Ear plugs didn't help because the vibration from the music was pretty intense. We didn't mind and slept fine but definitely something to consider for other travelers.

The hotel is really nice and well-maintained as you would expect from a Hampton. For us, the location was great – it's right off of a street full of restaurants, bars and breweries. We wanted to see a lot of Raleigh in a short amount of time, so this location was a really good launchpad for our adventures.

As I said, the hotel is on a very lively street. This means that it's really noisy outside at night with people hitting the bars and clubs. BUT the hotel offers earplugs and noise machines, so unless you're a very light sleeper, it's not a problem.

parking situation is just Ok. staff didn’t do a great job of communicating what to do upon checkout for those patrons parked in the deck - you need to keep your room key with you to exit the deck and drop in the key box. no one told me this so I was stuck in the deck.

Breakfast was really great, they kept it simple but the food was delicious and nicer than most hotel breakfasts I've had before. We were there for a party next door at the Glenwood social club and you cannot beat the location, they warned you when you checked in that it would be loud at night and it was but we slept fine with the provided earplugs and a sound machine I brought from home.
