La Quinta by Wyndham Raleigh Downtown North

Easy to access and parking lot was lit up well after dark. Hotel smelled very pleasant from the time you walked in. Breakfast was good.

I was a little surprised to receive a call from the front desk asking for my credit card information to pay for the room when on Booking.com it stated no card was needed and you would pay at the property. Apparently this LaQuinta has a different policy but Booking.com should be updated as to not advertise no prepayment needed.

We vacationed in North Carolina and toured the state and this was one of the 6 hotels we stayed at and we liked it the best. The location is good - about 10 minutes from the city center, far enough from the road to avoid noise, but at the same time very close to the entrances to the highway. A lot of parking spaces, a good breakfast and cozy breakfast zone, a standard room, everything was clean, and the additional armchair was but plus for the 3 of us. The advantage for us was the opportunity to slightly open the window for the fresh air, which in recent years is often impossible to do in many hotels.

The receptionist Celeste Coates deserves a raise! She was so pleasant and welcoming the moment I stepped foot into the hotel. She was very polite and patient with the many guests waiting to be checked in. More hotels need employees like her. The moment I spoke with her, I knew what to expect for my stay. The hotel looked amazing. Everything was clean, and my room was just perfect. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will return and will highly recommend it to anyone coming to Raleigh. La Quinta, please let Ms. Celeste know that people like her make the stay worthwhile and give her many praise.

Everything was great. I have absolutely no complaints.

Easy check in. Very quick. Very quiet after the bikers left. I mean Harleys are never quiet the individuals were cool. I picked a bike meet up to try to get rest lol. My luck. King room had everything listed and looked like the pictures. Continental Breakfast was clutch with food prices. 1 less meal + snacks I have to purchase on the road. Wish there were more egg/protein options for vegetarians but oh well I made it work. I did laundry 2.50 wash 1.50 dry. Quarters available at the desk. They have detergent to purchase as well. Black out curtains clean linen I slept great.

The staff was friendly. My room was fresh, clean , and the bed was very comfortable. The room had all of the supplies I would need for a few days stay. The hotel was quiet during sleeping hours. This location was very convenient to anything in Downtown Raleigh.

The staff while friendly did not go out of their way to help. I asked for extra hangers and was told that housekeeping had those and they were not available, I requested plastic silverware when my dinner arrived without any and the clerk just pointed and said you can slide open those doors over there and you will find some. By the way, I was the only person in the lobby. I also overheard the clerk complaining about needing to be somewhere other than work. When I first arrived the hallway smelled terribly of smoke but fortunately the smell was not in my room at all. I would stay at this location again. I was just disappointed by the customer service.

I brought my dog to the property to get out of the way of Hurricane Ian in South Carolina. The manager, Terrence was so lovely to both of us. We did change our departure date and he handled that with ease. The breakfast was quite good for free and it was nice to have that while we were unexpectedly away. We got to stay on the first floor for ease of letting the dog out. We also had a fridge and a microwave so other meals were relatively easy as well. The storm came up that way as well, but we had power the entire time.

There weren't quite enough front office staff. I struggled to find them sometimes and when I called the property on the phone, I didn't get anyone to answer.

Late night arrival, very pleasant experience and ample parking in a quiet isolated lot. Strong water pressure shower. Breakfast have bacon and scrambled eggs, toasts, waffle maker, coffee, juice, tea, cereal and cold milk, yogurts. Lady day manager was on top of it.

Back parking lot light was out so there was a dark section, but it’s fenced up so looked secure.

My friend and I had a great stay. The room was clean and large enough for us both to be comfortable. We ordered Doordash by the pool and had an enjoyable day just relaxing. The hotel was very clean, quiet, and the staff was kind. It's close to restaurants and shopping but if you venture out a little your options are plentiful. Downtown is only minutes away so we caught a lyft for about $15 each way, which was more affordable than parking and/or DUI's. Breakfast was mediocre but better than just cereal and muffins. Hot waffles, eggs, and bacon were all on the menu. Overall, I would certainly stay here again and I highly recommend this property.

Ice machine broken on 3rd floor. Small inconvenience but should be handled.

Staff are so friendly and helpful . The communal areas as clean ,bright and modern . Our room was so spacious and comfortable . Breakfast was nice and we loved the pool .Gym is great too . We really enjoyed our stay and it was fantastic value for money .

We stayed three nights and days ,it would have been appreciated if the room was cleaned a little during this time ( bins emptied etc) Less plastic at breakfast!

The staff was friendly and attentive. The room was clean and comfortable.

The bathroom was too small. Also, the cleaning staff was using cleaning products on the floor between the front two doors that have a very strong odor which I am very sensitive to. I asked the person at the desk to close the inner door so it would not affect me and she would not. I had to move to the back of the lobby to wait for.my Lyft which was inconvenient.
