Red Roof Inn PLUS+ Statesville

The bedding is always clean and hair free. Everything was clean except the light above the door had something brown splattered on it like a pop exploded or something.

The splattered liquid on the light was gross and the spot around the drain in the tub was stained and looked like someone scrubbed it with steel wool and scratched the acrylic in the tub. The area the hotel was in is a bit run down due to things closing but it's a great price and hard to find a clean place that's bot astronomically priced. It's great for a stopover traveling.

I stayed at a TravelLodge/RedRoofInn in Petersburg, VA, just a few days before the stay at this RedRoof Inn. This one, in Statesville, NC, was superior in many ways. The price was similar, the room was similar, but this one in Statesville seemed cleaner, quieter, with fewer problems. In Petersburg, the highway noise outside was annoying, there were many stains on the floor, the sink drain was stopped up, etc. Also, I found it to be a danger for an elderly person in that when you sat down in the desk chair, the chair several times rolled away, almost causing me to fall. The Statesville motel was superior.

There was a man sleeping in his car outside. I was hoping Security would make him move. In his parking place the next morning, there were many cigarette butts on the ground. The shower was good, but I asked for a handicap room, and there should have been more safety bars.

Clean, comfortable, quiet, pet friendly. Near the highway, Starbucks, multiple fast food restaurants, and Food Lion. My requests made at booking were all honored. Check-in / out was professional, fast & friendly

This is not on the hotel. As of August 2023, there is an enormous amount of road construction, making navigation tricky. I was very glad to arrive while it was still light.

for an overnight stay, this property is perfect. right off the highway, close to stores and restaurants, amazing mattress, but the pillows are a little flat. The room and bathroom were very clean. There was a safe in our room, but no fridge and microwave. Wifi and TV worked great. There are a lot of bright lights in the parking lot, which we appreciated for walking dogs and definitely a deterrent for car break ins.

Very clean accommodations, friendly & professional check-in staff. Hotel is located easily off the I-77 (entrance to I-77 North is right next to hotel, so follow your GPS carefully). Local restaurants, gas and market are nearby for anything that you may need during your stay.

Room AC was noisy. Memory foam bed was a bit too soft for me (personal choice). No microwave or fridge in my particular room, but I rarely use them (microwave available in vending area, with ice maker).

I love the room we get for handicap facilities. It is always clean and on the bottom floor. Our HOST, Samantha, checked us in, and told us if we needed anything to let her know. She was so kind and rechecked with me as I went to get ice if everything was OK. She was very courteous to us as well as the other customers that was there. We always stay here when we travel thru this area. It has a wonderful dog walk area for our dogs as well. It is very well lighted and clean. I highly recommend this motel to stay in! Plus there is always plenty of hot water for the showers!

There isn't anything that I can complain about. We always try to stay here and ALWAYS LOOK FORWARD TO IT!!

This is a nice place to stay. Was booked to stay at the motel 6 but it was nasty and falling apart. Told the front desk clerk about our experience there so he waived our deposit for our inconvenience at the other hotel even tho it wasnt his problem and he was super nice.

There was some construction going on on the off ramp it was a lil loud sometimes but it wasn't to bad. There was some ppl smoking Marijuana outside but didn't bother us.

Good for an overnight on a road trip. Room was clean and quiet. My dog was accommodated with no hassle. Close to highway. Numerous fast food, Food Lion nearby.

This is not on the hotel, however, at the time of my stay, August 2023, there is major road construction in the area, which made navigating difficult.

Khalid at the Front Desk was awesome. He had my invoice ready for me to sign when I came to the office to renew my reservation. Room had been recently remodeled and the bed was very comfy.

Housekeeping walked in ny room twice after I had already said no housekeeping services needed. The room needed vacuuming upon arrival.

There’s been a change for the better. Room was excellent. I’ve stayed here 20 years and this is the first time everything worked, no holes in tub, I was really surprised the room looked so good. It didn’t look run down. And as an 84 yr old traveling alone I really felt safe. After 20 years I’d sure like to see the surrounding shopping area recover. It’s sad to see such a decline of both shopping areas adjacent to the hotel. Don’t ever stop allowing pets. It is the first thing I need when traveling. This trip I got to meet lots of 4 footed friends taking walks. Everyone pleasant and smiling and helpful.
