Mills Park Hotel

Location in the heart of tourist town, Yellow Springs makes this an excellent choice. All of the downtown of Yellow Springs with its Little art theatre and many good restaurant choices is a plus. Also the excellent Glen Hellen Nature preserve is a couple of blocks away. Or you can visit scenic John Bryan State Park or Scenic Clifton Gorge, each of which can be reached by car and lie within 2 to 4 miles. There's apple picking on weekends at a near-by orchard and Young's Dairy (also within five miles) is a major tourist venue. A major bike trail is several blocks from the hotel. All of this makes this hotel worth the price, as you would need to compare it with a resort rather than just a local hotel, if you are wanting a couple of days in Yellow Springs - a town that regularly makes it onto lists of the 25 best small towns in America.

Street noise can be intense on some Saturdays, when there are special events such as Street Fair and Porch Fest, when one of the musical venues is the porch of the hotel. But even then the streets are usually quiet by 10:00pm

I really loved the hotel, it was so clean and tidy. Very attractive and I loved the gift shop and Christmas decorations!!!

I was very disappointed that the restaurant was not open Thursday evening. My husband and I could not find anything open for a good meal. We are not foodies, such as the Cafe type food suggested. We really just wanted what this restaurant had to offer in the evening. We ended up with no dinner because almost everything was closed.

The hotel has a beautiful interior, as do the rooms. The staff (particularly front desk) is extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We had a very good breakfast at the hotel's restaurant. The room we stayed in was very quiet.

The location of the hotel seems somewhat out of place in Yellow Springs. The town, albeit quaint, has a very limited choice of dining options. At the time of our stay, the hotel's restaurant wasn't open for dinner yet (an announcement indicated it would be open the following week).

The location was superb for all the shopping and things to do in the area.plenty of convenient parking. The hotel is decorated tastefully with a great restaurant and gift shop on either side of the beautiful lobby. I appreciated the check in area toward the back of lobby. I believe it adds to the atmosphere without being the focal point.

It has nothing to do with the hotel but the early morning truck traffic is loud. I had a corner room which amplified the noise. be prepared if you are a light sleeper.

This hotel is lovely! The bright decor and comfortable furnishings in the lobby welcome one to sit and relax. The gift shop is fun to wander through. Ellie's Restaurant is delicious! The rooms are spacious and clean, the beds are comfortable, and the amenities add to a pleasurable stay. We were visiting Cedarville University which was only a 10 minute drive away. Perfect location in a cute, quaint town of Yellow Springs.

Nothing! Everything was enjoyable.

The Farmers breakfast platter was easily two meals for me and was delicious. My husband had the chicken and waffles and said it was the best chicken he had ever had. Our rooms and the event room were very clean and comfortable. The staff was AMAZING!!

Only drawback for us was the location of the speakers with the DJ. Our table was right in front of the speakers and the music was so loud that we could hardly talk to each other. Music wasn't overall loud, just right in front of the speakers. Better location for the DJ would have been a blessing. This was our son's wedding and we were at the parents table. My Mother-in-law opted to take out her hearing aids. But had to put them back in to hear the ceremony.

Mills Park Hotel is meticulously cared for and spotlessly clean throughout. It's got a light airy feel (beautiful harmonious happy colors) with lovely furnishings and comfy beds and pillows. That front porch is just a masterpiece, so inviting and relaxing which is pretty much the vibe of the hotel. Ellie's restaurant had a lot of great options and the food was tasty. Loved the gift shop with an interesting selection of gifts plus snacks and drinks. Staff were warm, friendly, and helpful, and made us feel welcomed and at home. It really was the perfect place to stay to explore the quirky fun town of Yellow Springs and all the amazing trails and sights nearby. We'll be back and we'll be bringing friends!

There was simply nothing to complain about or criticize. We wouldn't change a thing!

I love the location and how nices the places was and a lot of parking not far from the door and it was clean in the inside and out side

Our bathroom had dry pee on the toilet and there was no microwave all refrigerator in the room with the spaces been so small and that they only have about 20 rooms are so everyone room is so close so we can here the rooms under us that was loud at night and early morning u hear there ever move.

The look of the whole place as though it had been around for years,yet very well maintained.comfortable seating areas scattered around.A small selection of books would be nice.The location is great I parked my car and walked everywhere.

It would be nice to have coffee and tea available in lobby as a courtesy.the tiny coffee makers in room don't get beverages hot enough.and the lobby restaurant closes early afternoon.Also no TV above the lovely fireplace!

This was one of the best hotels I have stayed. The staff was great, the hotel was extremely clean and had all the amenities we needed. My girlfriend was extremely happy with the stay. It was a quaint little town. Very safe and kinda like their own little Mayberry. I would highly recommend.
