Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Springfield, OH

In the above question about price matching expectations, I was expecting much less than what I received. Cleanliness is most important to me, and everything was pristine and spotless and had that nice hotel smell. I bring mattress toppers and my own pillow cases when I book hotel rooms, but I slept in their bed and used their pillows because of how clean it was. They also had little conveniences like USB charging outlet on the nightstand. The location was safe and I had no worries about leaving my high-end car in the parking lot. The bathroom was also large, and I loved the large toilet seat, which is a luxury for us big people.

I have no complaints.

The beds were extremely comfortable. I slept great and my friend in the other bed did so too. We both agreed we slept better than at our homes.... The hotel was excellent.

We had a little problem with the toilet handle needing to be jiggled every time it was used, to stop the water from running constantly....The breakfast was a huge disappointment. The eggs were tasteless and cool, the OJ was tasteless as were other breakfast foods. As compared to other similar hotels, the breakfast was lacking badly....We wish there was a hot tub to go with the pool.

The hotel is close to restaurants and places to shop. They lady who checked us in was exceptional! She was super friendly and answered all our questions. I put a note on my reservation that I would like a quiet room since I’m a light sleeper. When I gave her my name, she said yes you are the light sleeper. I have you all the way in the corner on the top floor away from everything so you should sleep great! Also the man setting up breakfast was super helpful with pointing thing out to us so we could grab something quick and head to our volleyball tournament.

The pool was closed, no vending on the floors other than the first.

Small, well designed. I liked the simple decor and muted colors. It has good noise insulation - heard very little from other rooms. There was good variety and quality at breakfast (although I personally did not prefer the scrambled eggs). I liked the ability to make my own fresh waffles. It is conveniently located.

While it was clean, there were some (spots) stains on the carpet in our room. The climate control was tricky to regulate - sometimes it was way too hot. We often just turned it off.

Breakfast was okay...nothing special...but the staff was very friendly and helpful. Facilities were immaculate, which is of major importance.

I have no problem with housekeeping changing sheets every three days, but they should at least empty trash and check on toilet tissue. For a stay of three days or longer, many people bring food back to their rooms and end up with a considerable amount of trash.

The breakfast was good and the gentleman that worked in the breakfast area was very helpful and knowledgeable..he even announced as we entered the area what was being served for the morning.

We weren’t too happy with the TV…It’s time for an upgrade of the Televisions in the rooms, I assume they are all the same, but LCD, OLED Smart TV’s are needed so that guests can use their own personal streaming service.

We booked a King Suite, but was not prepared for the spaciousness! 2 separate rooms divided by double doors - it was so nice to be able to spread out! Everything was very clean and quiet, which we appreciate! I would highly recommend.

The breakfast could have been much better, the options were pretty limited. The danish was dry, the juice machine was broke, and the coffee was in another room, so kind of broke up the flow of getting your breakfast.

Friendly and welcoming stuff, very customer oriented, clean, equipment (bed etc), breakfast (considering it’s in US). Oncr again the stuff - really exceptional.

Well they don’t have wine opener 😅😁Every hotel should have one. Plastic fork and knife a ebreakfast is bit cheap, but hey ho - seems like almost every hotel in Ohio/New York has that …

What made the stay enjoyable was one person. Her name is Robin. She works the night shift. She is the most kind and caring employee behind the desk. She ALWAYS assisted, no matter the case. Not to say the others weren't friendly, but she was exceptional.

The location was kind of suspect, even though I knew where it was. I was born and raised in Springfield, so I am very familiar with the area.

A refrigerator and clean facility are our two requirements. This place met both. It was in an area where we felt safe. It was very clean with many conveniences available such as plenty of outlets for our devices. It was updated and nice. Super quiet. Staff was helpful and friendly. They had made as many breakfast choices available as possible with Covid still floating around.

The fan in the bathroom was super loud and you had to have it on if the light was on. The freezer part of the refrigerator was so frosted that we couldn’t fit any ice packs in it to refreeze. We put them close and they did get cold and worked ok. Both are pretty minor things.
