Baymont by Wyndham Piqua

Was very happy that coffee & hot chocolate were available all night. Checked in after 10pm & it was a cold night. Needed to boost the temp of water, using the microwave and the room's cardboard cup, but loved the treat of late night cocoa. Altho' not able to indulge, the heated pool was open til midnight. Room was clean & comfortable - no "ick" factors. Hard floors, not overused carpeting. Floor lamp that gave soft, low light that worked well as a night light.

Needs a second, basic chair. One chair in a room with two beds? Doesn't work even for just two persons. I think the poor workmanship of painting & installation of fixtures detracts from the effect of the refurbishing.

Good shower, nice to have the microwave and fridge. Beds were pretty good. Room was easy to use. Liked the desk and chair, chest of drawers. Breakfast was okay--mostly high starch and sugar (bread, pancakes, sweet cereal, oatmeal all with sugar), appreciated boiled eggs and peanut butter. It would have been nice to have an oatmeal option w/o sugar.

I asked for an extra blanked but it was never delivered.

It looked like updates were being made, just not completed. Room was clean, the bagged breakfast was better than no breakfast.

We did have to go ask for toilet paper, and in the 4. Ishtar we stayed, our towels were changed once, beds were never made and the room didn’t look vacuumed. There were many noisy children running around on our hall, and children jumping off the beds and screaming in the room above us. Looking forward to when the breakfast room will reopen.

Most of the staff was exceptional. There were 2 times where employees were less than cooperative. One threw away a good travel cup which we were able to retrieve from the trash. This was 5 minutes after checking in. The second, we ask we asked for a second chair for our room and we never heard back.

The. Breakfast could have been better. The website shows hot breakfast. It was a basic continental breakfast. The area is quite nice.

Great value for the price. The bed was extremely comfortable. The room was very clean. The facility appears to have been recently renovated. The flooring was very nice. The breakfast was what I expected and adequate for the price of the room. Really convenient to access the bike trail.

The gentleman that checked me in was very friendly, polite and just a joy to talk to during the whole process. My room was quiet and comfortable, slept great. Breakfast was actually ready on time as I was leaving right at 6:30.

They forgot to put shower towels in my room which I didn't notice until morning (there were hand towels and wash clothes) when I went to take my shower so had to go get one at 5:30am😥.

It was clean, located within walking distance of several restaurants and stores.

No continental breakfast, I feel that if the mask requirement has been lifted they should start providing what they advertise! Also there was an engine (train) right outside our window that sounded like a 747 landing. I ran to the window to make sure it wasn't a plane crashing. But I saw on Maps we were right next to the tracks.

Front desk staff were genuine and courteous, beds were comfortable. Appreciated front desk’s assistance re-mounting the shower rod after it fell down unexpectedly.

Bathroom updates made recently, but obviously rushed and left unfinished, toilet paper dispenser not secured in the wall at all, shower rod not secured properly either, exhaust fan cover was just missing entirely. Disappointed that breakfast was still grab n go bags, but we understand that’s most likely due to short staffing, which is a prevalent issue everywhere right now sadly.

It was clean, comfortable, and the staff was helpful and friendly. My only complaint was the breakfast. I didn't care for the breakfast offering but ,overall it was a very good stay.

More choices for breakfast such as bacon , eggs, or sausage . I would have had the cereal but the choices were limited and seemed more for children.

We stayed because we had plumbing problems at our house. We were well satisfied. Only needed a place to sleep and a bathroom. It served our needs very well. Everyone was very friendly. Had to get to work and home to meet the plumber so we didn't have time to eat breakfast. We were offered take out since we were in a hurry. Very appreciated.
