Hampton Inn Troy

The breakfast offered many options and was great to have for getting an early start. The beds and linens are quite nice and better than another pricier hotel we stayed at during this same trip. The couple of chairs, business desk and ample outlets are great for all the technology I drag around.

Seems no hotels are offering room cleaning I suppose due to covid. The trash cans are small and there could be somewhere for trash besides these tiny receptacles for people traveling.

The breakfast was a very good spread,, and the mattresses were new and a very good quality which made sleeping very comfortable. I guess my biggest disappointment was there were no containers for recycling in the rooms or anywhere around the breakfast area or lobby.

There were whirlpools in the room that did not work, and are no longer hip to have so should be removed, and it be a simple separation of the bedroom and bathroom area

The room was great and we liked using the pool and the fitness room. It is a great location for shopping and eating and was close to the hospital to see our first grandchild.

The fitness lights going out . That's my only complaint. Very minor.

The property charged me an additional $75.00 for my small pet dog. The animal is well trained and house broken..l would understand a $30.00 surcharge, but $75.00 was an another 80% on top of the room charge. Won’t be staying at Hampton Inns again.. Choice Hotels only charge the $30.00

It was clean and comfortable and quiet.

My first impression was not very good as the front entrance seemed dirty. I think the front outside needs power washed. After seeing the front I didn’t really expect the place to be clean but it was. First impressions are important.

Room was comfortable, breakfast quite good, property appeared to be rather clean. Good location. Check-out was far more pleasant than check-in.

Check-in was very inefficient and surly. Reminded me of Aeroflot Russian Airlines in the Soviet era. Nurse Ratched’s niece must work there. Toilet was way too low for average height adult. Too expensive for a town like Troy, at least on this night.

The change from la Quinta to Best Western was like night and day. What a treat including the one for our black Labrador Alvin who was the hit of lobby.

Scrambled eggs ! Softer music and turn volume down.

The staff was great, pool was available to be reserved for individual families, linens were clean

Please Hampton Inn hire more housekeeping and another front desk person these girls were so under staffed. One housekeeper for 3 floors? Do better that is too much on one person

Breakfast was great!!!

AC didn’t work as well as I hoped. Woke up sweating in the middle of the night even though the AC was turned down low.

Our bathroom floor could use a good, deep scrubbing around all the edges and tile floor. Everything kinda felt like it needed a thorough cleaning and freshening.
