Comfort Inn River's Edge

The view of the river from the room was great. The staff was very friendly. There was a pool. Close proximity to the beach. Right next door to a delicious dinner restaurant.

The bed was very uncomfortable because it was so hard. Breakfast was ok. More hot choices would be great. (Bagged scrambled eggs, sausage patties, tiny muffins, yogurt, waffles, oatmeal, cereal) Lighting in the bathroom was pretty dim. There was no hot tub and the heated pool was still pretty cold.

The location was wonderful, the staff was helpful. It's a really great view and the restaurant with outdoor seating and entertainment was awesome.

Well our TV did not work, the staff would have to come to our room and mess with it everytime we turned it on. We finally just decided we were sick of calling someone to our room so we went without TV most of our stay. Seems like they knew about it but was not fixed by the company. Really enjoy watching the news in the morning.

Loved that we could walk to bars and grill. Bowling Alley across the street! Overall it was a great location on the water!!! The pool was huge and clean. It was nice to have friendly staff and make the check in process easy! My daughter even said “ I want to leave a review and I never do that for hotels!” She told me I picked a good one!! We will be coming back.

Very nice motel in Huron, right on the bank of the Erie Lake. Peaceful and quiet. Would love to go back there. The room was nice and Well equipped. There is a gym and swimming pool inside. There are a few food options near by and a great liquor shop within a 10 min walk :) a lighthouse not far. Breakfast was OK too

It was a bit cold in bathroom, furniture quite worn

The rooms were nice and spacious,. Comfortable bed esp. when u are travelling with your kids and they were super tired. I liked the continental breakfast they served in the morning from 7 to 10 pm only. The lady at the breast hall was super nice... I would highly recommend this hotel for everyone who is looking for their stay at a reasonable price. Good job Comfort Inn at Rived edge, Oh.

After 10am, even for a minute you can't use waffle maker as the switch was turned off.

VERY COMFY BED AND QUALITY BEDDING, LOTS OF TOWELS, AND ROOM WAS CLEAN.

WOULD HAVE PREFERRED A ROOM WITH A VIEW OF THE RIVER. I DID NOT KNOW AND WAS NOT INFORMED THAT IT WAS EXTRA. ASKED ABOUT IT, AND WAS TOLD THAT I COULD NOT CHANGE MY ROOM BECAUSE MANAGEMENT WAS NOT THERE. I THOUGHT THAT WAS A LITTLE RIDICULOUS. I OFFERED TO UPGRADE MY ROOM FOR MORE $$ AND WAS DENIED. THE ROOM WAS AVAILABLE. OUR ROOM WAS FINE, HOWEVER, WE WERE AT THIS HOTEL BECAUSE MY SON THAT RECENTLY DIED USED TO FISH ON THE PIER NEAR THE HOTEL. I WANTED THE VIEW. OH WELL.

Location was fantastic! Beach, restaurants, and a bowling alley right next door or a short walk away (5 minutes at a slow pace). Rooms were excellent! Staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone else traveling to the area.

Would be nice to be able to enter from alternate doors with a key card, but this is a minor complaint. I would guess that it's more secure to make everyone go in the front door–but staff was not always present at the front desk, so other than cameras, I'm not sure if mandatory front door made a difference in that regard.

The room was clean, cool, and comfortable. The bed was soft, but firm enough to allow me to fall asleep quickly; and I have to use an expensive mattress at home or I won't sleep at all, so that is saying something. It was nice to sit by the river outside and take in the boats and birds at sunset, as well.

It would have been nice to have had more electrical outlets. Also, the breakfast selection was small.

Our room was very clean! The facility seemed clean also. Mini refrigerator, microwave a s coffee in room. The town of Huron was quaint and beautiful. It was about a mile walk to the lighthouse. There is a bar/restaurant next door. Very relaxing to sit at the river's edge on the evening of with your morning coffee. Very affordable and only a 15 minute drive to Cedar Point.

It isn't a complaint about the facility itself but the train was close and ran all night long. It kept me up the whole first night but by the third night I was used to it.

The location is on the mouth of the Huron River and you can pay a higher price to get a room overlooking it. Great for birders. No traffic noise, only a few trains an hour 1/4 mile away.

Breakfast. But it's being upgraded to include waffles alongside cereals, scrambled egg and sausage. It's standard U.S. hotel fare, is what's good and bad about it.
