Motel 6 Gold Beach

Everything. The front desk staff were very accommodating. The property is older but very clean. Even the maids came in and tidied up after the first day. This didn't happen at a Hotel I stayed at recently which is much more upscale. You had to ask to have it done. Here is was a given. The location was perfect as we fished on a friends boat and they stayed in their RV right across the bridge. My hubby and friend were able to ride bikes back and forth. I have nothing but good things to say about all my interactions with all employees from start to finish. Only down side is there are no coffee makers in the room but they do provide coffee free In Lobby from 6am to 10am so it's not horrible. There was a microwave and mini fridge and our room had a bathtub.

Didn't like that there was no coffee maker in room.

Not your typical, sparsely-appointed Motel6, this one is decorated in mid-century modern that is, dare I say, chic! Staff is terribly friendly; rooms are kept clean and orderly every day, and the fresh towels are a luxury seldom seen anymore. Is it a luxury property? No. But it is an extremely comfortable, secure, reassuring place to stay in Gold Beach. Some might look down their nose at a Motel6; those people would be missing out on this little gem.

No hotel in Gold Beach has air conditioning. While it may have not been needed for temperature control, having some sort of air flow in the rooms would make them even more comfortable, and keep the shower-related mugginess at bay. The Front Office did give me a fan, but something more substantial would be even better.

If you want a good bang for your buck, here's the place to stay! Overlooking the Rogue River! Staff is fantastic, the rooms are clean and comfortable.. they also have barbecues outside in the smoking area which was fantastic! Hubby and I cooked breakfast and a dinner out on the grill. And we always enjoy conversating with the other guests. Always a great time at Motel 6 Gold Beach

This is an unusually good Motel 6! Tucked away off of the highway in a beautiful setting. All was great really. I mean, it's still a Motel 6, but so much better than others. Surprisingly lovely stay. In addition to trees, deer, pretty glimpse view of bridge and river, I'm always pleased when motel rooms have a fridge.

Bathroom wasn't anything to write home about - shower was nice and hot, but the lighting in there is abrasive (super bright cold florescent type light) and the nonslip tub mat thingy was dingy.

Staff went beyond their call of duty when they found I had left my laptop in a drawer in our room. They called right away and let me know and kept it in the office and safe until I was able to return and retrieve it. Front desk lady was very friendly and helpful throughout our visit, and the cleaning staff was very efficient and friendly.

It had a great location

The heater didn't work and the portable heater they gave us also did not work and it was freezing in the room all night. We had a horrible night's sleep. They charge you a 100 pet deposit for a large dog normally dogs stay free but not this location. Not going there again. We only got the room that night cause we drove along way to say goodbye to my boyfriend's dad he died that day in gold beach at the hospital and to deal with this. We usually don't have any issues with a motel 6.they charged us 2 times casue they didn't even look or take our booking information charged us around 300 dollars even thought it was a 87 dollar rate there they eventually refunded the 87 dollars but it was just a hassle to get the money back.

The staff was incredibly kind & helpful. From the amazing front desk gal (her name started with a J?😬), to the cleaning & maintenance staff as well. We would definitely stay here again😊

The floors definitely could have been cleaner & and they need some updates, but other than that, we really enjoyed our stay there.

As a general rule I don't stay at motel 6 . No amenities and small rough towels, however , I was very pleased with this property. It is the best motel 6 I have ever seen. Excellent choice for a quick in and out. I visit Gold Beach several times a year , fishing the Rouge River and motel 6 will be my first choice.

Parking lot is narrow

This was one of the nicest Motel 6s I've ever stayed at... I'd like to come back and stay for a week while I explore the area. It's in a secluded spot but just off 101 -- peaceful and pleasant, a lot lined by trees along the front. The two front desk staff I met were extremely courteous and friendly; they made me feel welcome. The king room was huge and spotless, with a simulated hardwood floor. The bed was very comfortable. The TV was large. Unlike other Motel 6s, this one had a in-room coffeemaker and coffee. The bathroom and large sink/vanity area had a door that closed, so one person cleaning up wouldn't disturb the other sleeping. Along the trees are benches for sitting and picnic tables (with, I think, a grill). All this at the lowest price in Gold Beach (mid-week in early October). What a place!

They could add gold-plated bathroom fixtures and free massages. :) No, seriously, I can't think of much to change.

The location is on a wooded hillside, overlooking the Rogue river. It’s a very quiet spot with flowers and wildlife. My room was big, very clean and quiet. Although I didn’t bring my dogs, it is dog friendly with no extra fee! It’s only minutes from downtown, and also the port of Gold Beach. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are picnic areas, with an available bar-b-que. Although not an oceanfront stay, it is situated near the north jetty, where the Rogue river meets the ocean. There are many sea birds, flowers and boats. I had fun watching the boats, and the many brown pelicans fishing!

The only complaint I had about my stay was that there was no air conditioner in the room, and no way to adjust the airflow. It was very warm in the room, and since I didn’t want to sleep with the window open, it was hard to sleep. If this could be fixed, my stay would have been perfect, on par with many more expensive places I’ve stayed!
