Comfort Inn Newport

When we checked in, we were greeted by Chris who was very friendly and even offered us fresh baked cookies while we waited... during the stay he was helpful in many ways. Rooms were large and clean, beds very comfortable, easy parking and large spaces (less door dings) ocean was across the street. Close to Nye beach community, a few blocks to Hwy 101 Coast Hwy so it was easy and quick to get to the restaurants and Historic Downtown Newport. Breakfast selection was very good and tasty hot and ready for everybody at 6:30 AM so you can get your day started early. We will definitely stay here again. Good Job Comfort Inn Newport. (PS: Be sure to visit LOCAL SCOOP ice cream shop on Hwy 101, Tillamook and Umpqua ice cream served with a very large selection, they even have Black Licorice ice cream)

Very clean and up to date interior in the room. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast room was clean and provided appealing options for breakfast, 24-hour desk and free parking. Staff are helpful and friendly.

Elevator stropped working during the night. Thankfully after I took my bags up, and it was working by the time I had to checkout. It would have been helpful to have a printed directory of all the TV channels as there are a lot and the guide function on the TV did not work.

When booking the room no where did it say there would be an ocean view. I was pleasantly surprised to see that there was a view from our room. We could also hear the ocean and the fog horn.

When booking my room I had asked for a shower chair in the bathroom. I was immediately answered with “that will not be a problem, we can accommodate your request “. However when I checked in there was no shower chair in the room & when I called the front desk for one, the employee that was working stated I should have requested an ADA room if I wanted one. I told him all ADA rooms were booked and I was told there wouldn’t be a problem getting a chair. He then said he didn’t know where they where & I could call when housekeeping was there in the morning if I really needed a shower.

Very nice and comfortable room in a great location. We had paid for an ocean view room and if you angled your head just right when looking out the window you could see a small section of the ocean. Oh well, it was just one night and we were fine but if the view is really important to you you might want to call the hotel in advance and discuss the room location with them. The hotel is across the street from a beach but we arrived too late to take advantage that night and the following morning it was raining so continued on our trip. Staff was friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the buffet breakfast.

Can't think of any negatives.

Great location if you have a car, and plenty of free parking. King room was spacious and comfortable. Infrared bulb in washroom helps you stay warm and dry off faster after getting out of the shower. Free cookies upon check-in. The bedsheets and pillowcases were amazingly high quality - exceptionally soft, yet very sturdy and durable. I looked underneath for the brand name, to buy them for myself, but the tags did not specify. Free breakfast was a nice touch, nothing fancy, just the basics.

Ground floor window is about 2 feet away from the grille of any vehicle parked in front of the window, no privacy at all if you open the curtains, so I left them closed the whole time. Room door on ground floor not soundproofed well, can hear loud people in the hallway. Gym was very small and not usable. No pool, spa, or sauna.

The Breakfast was fairly good. The room was quiet and clean. The front desk staff was great and friendly.

They really need some new beds, memorie padding, the memories of all the guests who have slept on it for the past 10 years. It was a very difficult sleep. Attested turn it ,put new padding on the top of the mattress. I woke up with a very sore back, didn't sleep well. Other than that, it was a great place to stay. For the price, it was a good room.

Clean, comfortable, in the middle of Newport so you arent too far off from anything, only 600 feet from the beach, though it isn’t a beachfront hotel. Beds were very comfortable and room was clean. Pretty much everything you would expect out of a comfort inn.

The free breakfast was terrible, liquid eggs and brown n serve sausages, nothing actually made but I contribute this factor to the short-staffed crisis every business is having. Otherwise, cozy hotel, but you would be better off going to Newport Cafe.

Great place to stay. Unfortunately doesn't have too much of the sea view, but hospitable and comfortable. Has a great sea facing restraunt close by.

All good. The tap to operate the bathroom tub/shower needed instructions which is weird and the instructions were placed too high up on the wall to be visible because when you are operating a tap, you are looking downwards and besides no one expects instructions to operate a tap. They should change the taps and sort this out once and for all.

Upon arrival it was overcast and foggy, so our superior room was not needed. They allowed us to switch to another cheaper room, which allowed us to stay another night to enjoy the sunny next day. I also liked the additional size of the rooms. And our view of the ocean and mountain was amazing.

I wish the restraunt attached was open in the evening. Maybe since October is sorta off season, it closes earlier.

The breakfast wasn't that great and unfortunately our room didn't have much of a view except for a roof however the location was awesome the concierge was more than knowledgeable of the area and exceeded our expectations the rooms were clean and comfortable it was a great value and yes I would most definitely do it again at that same location.

That they were only soda pop vending machines I would have definitely loved to pick up some chips or some corn chips or snacks of some kind but they're soda pop machines on every floor except for two
