Motel 6-Newport, OR

It was walking distance to Rouge brewery and the Newport Aquarium. The Bay Front was just over the bridge. The king sized bed was nice and comfortable. I was pleased to find that we had a balcony with a view of the Yaquina Bay Bridge. There was also a nice sitting area and a gas fireplace in the room.

The room was a bit dated and some of the furniture had trim that was broken and stuck out. There was a side door that was supposed to be locked at all times, it was for exit only. However every time we used it to leave the hotel, the door was propped open with a rug.

The location was outstanding!!!!! It is right next door to the Oregon Coast Aquarium, and within a 10 minute drive you are at all the attractions, so close to a ton of food options, stores, gas stations, And the locals who live there are so friendly and personable it made all of us enjoy the trip even more!! 100% will stay here again, and will recommend it as well.

Its not a dislike just more of an FYI, the hotel only provides bar soap no shampoo or conditioner in their rooms, and there was not a coffee machine or things like that, that one would normally assume were in a motel room. Our rooms did have microwaves and mini fridges in them though which was great!!!! Just wanted to pass that info along so someone was not caught unaware, still will 100% stay again and will for sure recommend to others as well.

Great value. We only stayed one night because we were going out on a charter boat the next day and this hotel is right next to the marina. My son forgot his wallet in the room and the staff made an extra effort to get it back to him, they were great!

Would have liked coffee in the room, but I understand this would probably increase the price, so I can buy my own coffee. There was free coffee in the lobby, but not at the time we were leaving. Parking was a little tight, small spaces and many pickups, it worked with some care.

I don't believe I received the senior discount that I asked for...But everything was as iexpected, according to reviews and the messages from property. I knew that there wasn't going to be tissue, or breakfast , and it's a very basic motel brought my own pillow , towel. Kleenex.

Needs a little more basic cleaning. Bath tub had a ring , but it was apparently from previous guests. Need follow up room inspections. But the staff was very peasant. And these days all staff should be valued.

It was very clean and updated. The on duty staff was very helpful in getting a document printed for me that I needed. I appreciate the time she took to meet my needs.

No coffee in the room. It’s a fishing town and the boats go out early. It would be nice to have a decent cup of coffee before boarding the boil at because their coffee always sucks!

It was very close and convenient for fishing/crabbing and also the aquarium. Also room was pretty spacious for a double queen room.

There was no coffee pot and rooms were loud and echoed. Could here many of the rooms from the hallway. And there is not enough parking spots for all the guests, but the guy working came out and made us a spot to park.

Comfortable beds, close to everything

The pillows were a little cheap and it would've been nice to have had a fan or the availability to cool off the room. There was heat but no ac. Also, people were smoking in the balconies above and below us so their smoke came into our room.

It was very clean. The housekeepers and staff were curtious and pleasant. The microwave and refrigerator was in good working condition. The staff was attentive to our needs. Laundry room and wash/dryer was always clean.

The key cards would stop working. The staff would give us a new one. Sometimes times getting locked out and inconvenient.

I loved the room. Perfect size with micro and fridge. We could eat in our room and it as so much easier due to COVID and lots of tourists. It did not come with a coffee pot but it did have coffee in lobby. Like coffee pot in room better, but lived without it. I hate, hate the hard headboard on the bed I wish you could have something a bit softer or more pillows but I am not complaining. I hope the prices come down after summer and maybe more mid week deals for seniors. Love Motel 6; but so many tourists you can’t hardly get around

The headboard is so hard it hurts to laying in bed to watch tv. No coffee pot in room. Prices so very high for seniors, hope rates come down by fall and winter and more deals for seniors. Love the room size and pets are a huge plus for us.

Nothing

I booked July 10, last night, a room with u. I drove from Seattle and down the coast. I had a booking number. When I got to your property, albeit late, the doors were locked, we were tired. There was a sign on door stating full for the night. See photo. I picked up the phone on outside wall only to talk to a man with a thick accent continuously telling me he didn’t have a booking in my name. Never asked me for booking number and said they were all booked. I had to continue on driving to Albany only to find out there was no availability in that town either. My point is I had to sleep in my car with my 90 yr old mom and disabled sister. This is not acceptable and I better damn well not be charged.
