Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Altoona

Rooms were clean, there were small details that showed wear and tear (e.g., paint on bathroom door) but the layout was nice and rooms were spacious. Excellent value as an overnight stopover point for a weekend trip to visit friends. The location is right off the highway (but not right next to it) and breakfast was decent.

The walls were very thin and a truck driver next door had an alarm clock going for half an hour at 11 PM. Management took care of the situation and moved me to a different room (with an upgrade) but it was shocking how loud I could hear the alarm through the walls.

I liked it because the staff had the place ready for us despite the fact that there was an area wide power outage all afternoon. This meant manually unlocking entrance and room doors so we had access. Because computers were down, check in involved writing my name and credit card on a piece of paper, and they could only accept prebooked customers (which I fortunately was). Power came back on about 8pm which was just about the time the room needed some air and we needed lights and refrigerator. Breakfast was great!

The staff was super nice and we loved having an ice machine and snack machine.

There wasn't aaaaany breakfast foods that were gluten free or super loaded with sugar (yogurt, fruit, and juice were the only gluten free things, but there was a ton of sugar in them). So if you are gluten free like us, there's nothing to eat (because we don't eat sugary things like that for breakfast). Something as simple as nuts would be a nice option. Just something.. Aaaanything healthy to offer people that isn't a baked good would be a super nice touch! 😊

Room was clean. Breakfast was something I looked forward to early in the morning. The staff did an excellent job keeping the items on the menu stocked. The staff catered to our every need -- extra towels, wash cloths and even a plastic bag for my husband to put his many shoes in. Thank you. I certainly would book again, if we are ever in the area!

I am 5'1" tall and found it a little difficult to climb onto the bed. It was a good laugh!

Just a great place for our one night stay heading home. Greeted upon arrival, quick check-in, great area with views of " mountains" and a BBQ outdoor seating area. We did not use but it would be a very relaxing spot. Front desk staff recommended local restaurant and gave me advice on road route alternates. Breakfast in the morning was one of the best we have ever had on road trips.Quiet location away from highway noise...and great sleeping with multiple pillows. We will recommend to friends.!!

We couldn't stay longer!

We have been staying at this hotel for over 10 years now. We have come for family vacations and anniversary getaways. It is amazingly clean and very Covid-19 friendly for those who worry about staying in a hotel these days. The rooms are always spacious and there is a hair dryer in the room for those that a curious. Jenn is an amazing manager and will go out of her way to make your stay perfect. They do offer a full breakfast but we always manage to sleep through it. We do miss the fresh cookies and soup during the day but totally understand the COVID rules. The hotel is right down the street from DelGrosso’s. We like to spend the day at the water park come back jump in the shower and then head back out to the amusement park. You can’t go wrong staying here!

The Mountain View made me laugh so hard! I mean hey it was a view of a mountain so I can’t complain! Made my day 🙃

The room was clean and spacious . The staff was friendly and pleasant. There was a nice variety of foods at the breakfast.

$25 for a pet isn’t a huge charge but many hotels have done away with this charge and that would be a pleasant courtesy. Our pet is a part of our family and we take him where ever we go.

We had come to Altoona for my mother's funeral. Our stay at the Days Inn and Suites in Altoona started off with the power being off because of an accident. The manager, Jennifer, and all the staff made everything pleasant for us. Even though this was a difficult time for me with the loss of my mother, Jennifer and the staff made our trip enjoyable. We were greeted with smiles and hellos by all the staff members every time we saw them.

The staff were amazing. They were very friendly and courteous. The room was very clean. The manager on duty went out of her way to make us feel welcome. We will most definitely stay here on our next visit. Thank you for making us feel so welcome. I highly recommend.

There wasn't anything I found that was unsatisfactory.

This was one of the best hotels we ever stayed in. Great large yard for our 3 dogs to run, no steps to go up and down, very clean and roomy. Very Quiet. Great Breakfast. Everything was great!!!!

Not much, just the staff could be a little bit more talkative and friendly.
