Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Altoona

Everything was so clean and up to date. Our room was very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and clean. Loved the tub and shower combo and how low the tub was so it was easy for my mother to use. The breakfast was very good. The area was very spacious so you were not crowded at all. There was a good variety of items to choose from. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

Was hoping for scrambled eggs rather than just hard boiled eggs for breakfast. Other than that, no complaints at all.

The bed was the most comfortable. The breakfast was very good. The associate that checked us in and out was very knowledgeable and curious.

The long walk to the elevator. We had to park our car so far away from the front lobby. We had to make special arrangements for our pet because we were told this was not a pet friendly hotel. To our surprise we saw several dogs on the property.

Our stay was excellent! The room was spacious and had everything we needed. The bed was really comfortable and everything was immaculate. Checking in and out was a breeze, having a full breakfast onsite each morning saved us time and money. Everyone who worked there was extremely helpful and friendly. i highly recommend!

Hotel staff was so nice, rooms were clean and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the man working the front desk at approximately 9 PM on Monday, August 23, 2021. He was pleasant and had a nice way of making us feel welcomed. My 11 yr daughter & I were on the last night of our long weekend get-away to visit southwestern PA and where I attended college at Saint Francis University of Loretto, PA. We are from the metro west area of Boston. We would definitely stay again at this hotel when visiting southwestern PA!

We were disappointed at the early closing time for the complimentary breakfast. We had been traveling and arrived later than expected the night prior to the breakfast. My advice is to establish a closing time an hour beyond the 9 AM closing time. 10 AM would have been more convenient. We walked down to the complimentary breakfast area just after 9 AM and the employee had just closed the sliding doors for the breakfast area. We were so hungry and just walked back to our room. Wish they could have left some breakfast food out for "grab & go." All in all, we enjoyed the hotel for our one night on Monday, August 23, 2021 in Altoona. Staff was so nice, rooms were clean and comfortable. Please extend the closing time for the breakfast until 10 AM.

Liked the large room sizes, liked area, hotel was very clean.

The mini fridge only kept cold for 2 hrs at a time which we stayed for 2 nights so it was a bit of a bummer and I was charged a hold for over $500 and then billed for the room and had to wait days for pending charges to fall off.

I liked how spacious and clean the room was and that it had everything you could want for a stay at a hotel. I also really liked that the staff was very friendly and helpful.

My only minor complaint were the pillows. They didn't have much cushion to them and didn't quite support my head or neck all that well.

It was clean and quiet, and the room was comfortable. The breakfast was very nice, and had a wide selection of foods. The staff was helpful and it had an EV charger which I used.

The only issue I had was that the fridge in the room would only stay on two hours at a time, and I did have some beverages. it was odd.

For the most part it was a great trip. However there was this one male employee at the desk that we found a bit rude. We were on our way to the pool and when we got there we found that we needed towels. No biggie. But since we were at the pool we didn't have our masks, our bad we were planning on swimming can't do so with a mask. However when we went to get the towels the guy gave us a hard time about the masks even thought there were at least 10 to 15 people in the lobby area without masks on and he didn't say anything to them about masks just us. That wasn't right. If you are going to give someone a hard time you should give everyone a hard time. Normally we wear our masks all the time because I am severely asthmatic. But due to the circumstances we weren't.

The breakfast was wonderful! I didn't expect so many options. The gym looked very well appointed and the pool looked like fun. Next time I will plan on staying an extra day or 2 to make use of these amenities

Refrigerator would not get cold. I turned it on, but it never got cold.

The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and neat. The lobby area was clean. The breakfast was good with an assortment of food for everyone.

The only downside was a very bad odor coming from the water in the bathroom sink. However we were able overlook this.
