Lake Inn

The staff was excellent. The room was spacious and exceptionally clean, and the bed was very comfortable to sleep on. There was a refridgerator/freezer and a microwave provided. The desk attendant, Amelia, was very pleasant, thoughtful and attentive. The housekeeper went out of her way to supply me with eating utensils. When I had a problem, Amelia took the time to listen to me, apologized for the inconvenience and 'went the extra mile' to make everything right again. Amelia even called and emailed me after my stay to make sure I was pleased. Thank you for the outstanding customer service!

Due to staffing shortages, which the motel informs you of prior to your visit, there maybe no one available when you arrive and there is no coffee bar or restaurant services available. (the town of Ebensburg does have restaurants and drive-throughs near by) The motel does not initially provide a contact number, you need to email them through booking.com. I was unable to email them while traveling, though. The site indicated the password I created was not correct?? Once you arrive, you are reqired to call them to get the receptionist to register. And you need to call that number every time you need anything (like ice or towels) as the desk is not staffed 100% of the time. The water temperature for the shower was tepid at best.

The rooms looked exactly as pictured on the website. The bed was comfortable. Everything looked newly painted. The room was very clean and everything smelled fresh. The bathroom was nice. The TV had a lot of channels. There was a nice microwave and a dorm size fridge. A bag of ice was provided in the freezer.

The other guests beside us and above us were partying and loud, but the very efficient bathroom exhaust fan drowned out most of their noise. You could tell that the outside had been recently updated and beautiful, but no one was keeping the weeds pulled or the spiders knocked down. We had ordered two rooms with two queen beds each, but they were not handicap accessible. Had I known that, I would have gotten my mother who has much difficulty doing stairs (only 5, so not terrible), her own room where there would not have been the fall danger.

Nice location, right off the highway and 10 minutes from Mt A College and St F University. Clean, recently updated room. Nice hot shower with good water pressure. The bed was super comfy and the heat/cooling system worked very well and very quickly to adjust to our needs. The woman at check-in was very friendly and helpful, even though we arrived super late at night. She gave us all the info we needed for our stay and answered all the questions we had about the area with a smile.

The signage could be a little better, we drove right past it at first, then pulled into the restaurant parking lot and didn't realize where the office was at first. As I pas going out to get breakfast in the morning a car with some pretty sketchy people pulled in and waited for me to move before taking the spot I had been parked in, even though there were only 2 other occupied spots in the whole lot. My partner told me when I got back that they had been yelling outside the doors.

The Lake Inn is efficient, clean and comfy with an excellent location. The rooms aren't big but they have everything needed (fridge, microwave, flat screen TV, nice baths). It's under new management and all the rooms have been nicely renovated. The bed was new. The restaurant and bar aren't open and there aren't any frills like that. There isn't much else around for hotel choices but you can't go wrong with this one.

Since there isn't any breakfast or facilities, I think the price could have been a little lower maybe. But the lack of competition probably is the reason the price is what it is. It's just a quick trip into Ebensburg and there are tons of eating options at all levels.

Comfortable room, brightly lit, quiet, easy access to all amenities offered by Edenburg.

Knowing that the Lake Inn has managed a restaurant as part of property services, the loss was felt that it was not open on this visit. Our sympathies, to be sure: running a restaurant is difficult even in the best of times. We ate elsewhere, and we ate well - but the restaurant was still missed.

Good location, clean and comfortable. Quiet yet close to downtown and entrance/exit to Route 22. Were super responsive getting a iron and ironing board to us. Stay here

Ebensburg is behind many places recovering from Pandemic issues, restaraunt was closed as a result. Air fresheners in hallway were strong enough to get your attention.

Best deal in Ebensburg! The owners really fixed this place nicely, it's a previously-owned bar/motel with questionable reputation in past years but now it's terrific. Highly recommend! They always take good care of us. We wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Very quiet clean rooms. good location in the city close to everything and the people that I'd come across were nice.

The location was good, right off the exit. It was quiet and had a nice view of a lake from our window. It was clean and the staff was very helpful. I would recommend Lake Inn for someone traveling to this area.

The door lock was a little tricky, but once you figure out how the lock works it was fine.

The room was probably the cleanest hotel room that we ever stayed in. Also, the linens and towels we either new or like new. The staff was equally excellent. We will stay there again, and you should too!
