Candlewood Suites Bethlehem South, an IHG Hotel

I liked the layout of the room. It was comfortable. The location was great.

Unfortunately, what I didn't like was that my friend and I left two clothing items back , and the hotel manager has no clue where it is. Even though their protocol is, if anything is left back in the room. That item or items are bagged, tagged with your room number, and then placed in their lost and found. But that was not the case for me. So my friend's $5000 Berberry sweater, and my $60 top just vanished without a trace. It's been two days now, and no one has contacted me and my lost items.😔😔

My suite appeared brand new, don’t know if the hotel is new or if it had been recently renovated. Everything was clean and functional. Kitchenette had everything one would need: microwave, stovetop, full-size refrigerator, pots and pans, etc. Excellent shower, comfortable bed with a top sheet which I really appreciate – – too many hotels have started using comforters only, and you will never convince me that they actually wash those comforters after every guest. Three chairs provided, including a comfortable recliner. Room to work on a desktop. A bargain at the price for that area, right behind the casino complex.

The hotel faces a busy street so if you are a light sleeper, make sure you ask them not to put you in a room in the front of the hotel.

Inside my actual room, was nice. There was an entire kitchen area. Bathroom was clean, spacious, and great lighting. The bed was comfy. I overall enjoyed the layout of the room and the design. Staff was always in the halls cleaning so that’s good to see

Property entrance was mediocre. Not that it’s important.. but it gives the first impression. The halls were also mediocre but it gave a feeling of “old and comfy” like you’re at grandmas house. But it’s perfect for the price I paid.

Very comfy beds, pillows, etc.

We were travelling with 3 family members - known in advance by Candlewood based on reservations but there were only enough wash cloths for 2 people. It was too late to ask for more, so we didn't bother. I would suggest to make sure there are more bathroom linens than may be needed. We also think there should be an extra blanket or two in each room. We were travelling with an elderly parent who was always freezing and we were always roasting.

Nice size room with fully equipped kitchenette. Good lighting, outlets, temp control. Nicely laid out bathroom with plenty of hot water and water pressure in shower. Comfy bed and pillows. Pool looked nice though we did not get a chance to use it. Very convenient to Wind Creek event center and nearby restaurants

Complimentary breakfast would have been nice, but the kitchenette made bringing our own convenient. TV could have been a bit larger.

Very nice place and I would especially recommend it to anyone who would need to stay at a hotel more then just a night. Perfect for business travel. Roomy, stocked kitchen etc.

I didn't like the fact that in order to have ice for our drinks we would need to run the ice machine in the freezer. We were only there one night and would have like to just get a bucket of ice.

it was easy to access with ease to walk my dogs

My credit card was charged when I checked in abs when I checked out. so not only did I pay 78 for my pet I had to front an additional 78 incidentals So for 72 hours the hotel locked up almost 400 for a one night stay. when I called the location to resolve there was no answer. I called multiple times. I will not stay again no one should be out 400 for a single night even if it is a “process” seems that might be a bit questionable

The room was bigger than I anticipated and for what I needed (1 night stay) it was good enough for me. It was close enough to the downtown area without having to be in it. If you are only staying for a night or two, it does suck they don’t do a breakfast but there’s a Wawa less than 5 minutes away or diners about 10 minutes away.

Nice location and they let us check in early. Nice staff. Ample parking. Great bang for your buck, too. Spacious, comfortable suite.

Beds a bit too firm. And have to schedule a time for the pool. Can’t just go when you want. And an alarm clock that went off despite my unplugging it the night before. (It had a battery backup).

The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The AC/heat system worked well. The hotel was clean and overall very nice. Our children enjoyed the pool. The front staff were all friendly. The hotel has coffee / hot cocoa and tea available for guests. The location of the hotel worked well for our trip. It was a short drive to the Christmas Market and to Historic downtown.

The hotel gym is nice, but was missing lighter arm weights. I would love to see them add 3lb, 5lb, 8lb options. The lightest available were 15lbs.
