Holiday Inn Express & Suites Pittsburgh SW/Southpointe, an IHG Hotel

Our room was quite far from the lobby where the breakfast served. We hadn't asked for any special accommodations so made no complaint. Next time we will know to speak up when booking. The breakfast was very good and consisted of good variety. Had no trouble eating it everyday during our 2 week stay. The staff bent over backwards to accommodate every request even adjusting a mobility aid for me and then checked with me several times to make sure it didn't need further adjusting.

The hotel was in a business park along with a few restuarants all within walking distance of the hotel. The breakfast was amazing. So many choices. The eggs, pancakes, sausage and potatoes were fresh and delicious. What was especially delicious were the hot cinnamon rolls. The room was clean. The carpet didn't feel nasty and the room did not have any odors at all. The refrigerator in the room kept the food cold. Even our yummy chocolates from the Sarris candy company. That is a must see as well in downtown Cannonsburg!

The channel changer did not work and we had to call the front desk to have someone help us. The air was difficult to adjust and seemed like it did not stay on for long. Although, the air did keep the room extra comfortable.

This is in a good location, it's kept clean, and the front desk guy who checked us in was nice. Good breakfast too!

The indoor pool was our main reason for booking this specific hotel and it was closed one night into the next morning. I also didn't like that I ended up paying about the same as if I went directly through the hotel. We wanted a room with 2 queen beds and a pullout sofa and it wasn't possible because we used booking.com. After speaking with the manager, we realized we spent nearly as much as we would have and we could have then made changes to our room (the difference was less than $1).

The location was perfect for our needs. We were in town for a family Bridal shower and stayed in 2 Queen Suites. Our rooms were spacious, the beds and bedding so cozy. The staff was very welcoming and hospitable during our stay. They even arranged (without us asking) that our suites be next to each other. This hotel is TOP NOTCH!- modern, SPOTLESS and beautifully decorated. I just cannot say enough of how nice our stay was. I would recommend this hotel 1000%!!

Exceptionally clean room although the shower backed up. The hotel itself is very nice and very clean. The front desk staff was very friendly but not very professional. One man continually left the front desk to smoke cigarettes outside. When he returned, he reeked like cigarette smoke, which I personally find disgusting. Another woman, though very friendly, decided to vacuum the lounge area right next to where I was sitting. I felt this was a bit rude. Otherwise, I was very satisfied with my stay.

Again, I wish the front desk people were a bit more professional, less personal, and certainly shouldn't be constantly smoking outside. I also didn't like the way the heat in the room is tied to a thermostat. It was very cold in our room because the fan blows in cold air from outside as it attempts to "heat up." If I'd known this would be the case, I'd probably not have booked at all. It alternated between uncomfortably cold in my room and the proper temperature.

Very nice hotel and a wonderful breakfast to start the day. Really the nicest place we stayed during our trip. I would recommend staying here to my friends and family.

Since it was in a business complex, it seemed a little hard to find. But that made it a very quiet area. Everything about our stay was great.

There is only one person at the front desk (who was very nice) but in order to get sheets for the pull out bed, I had to go down there. Traveling with children this can be challenging at bedtime. Also, the elevator down from the 2nd floor did not work so we had to carry our bags down the stairs...not ideal at 5am when we left. The pool is just ok (no hot tub)

The breakfast was exceptionally good! Nice assortment of very good food.

The thermostat in our room indicated that the battery needed to be changed. On the second day, there was a power surge from the weather; and from that day on, our thermostat didn’t work well. It was quite warm in the room, but not unbearable.

Property was clean and well maintained. The room was clean and nice looking, I thought it was newer but hotel built in 2014. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and it was reasonably quiet.

There is no fan in bathroom and it gets steamy from shower. The toilet seat was so loose it was about to fall off. I got a screwdriver from front desk and tightened it myself. The cleaning people should be more observant of maintenance issues and make sure they are addressed quickly. This was obviously broken for some time.

I thought breakfast was well done, it would have been nice to see bacon as an option instead of sausage everyday of our stay. However, when I asked about this, I was told it was a supply issue. Unfortunately, I understand this.

The only issue of our stay was the toilet clogged up at one point however, when I called down to report someone came up within minutes to resolve the issue.
