Homewood Suites by Hilton Pittsburgh-Southpointe

Breakfast is over very good. The facilities were clean. We took our grandkids to the pool and it was a lot of fun. We enjoyed the sliders and beverages on Wednesday night. We’ve stayed here before and we like it. The only suggestion I would have is making housekeeping available once every two or three days. Other than that it was a great trip.

The trash cans got filled up and it was hard to get rid of the trash. Otherwise no other problems. Also, I am a member, but I didn’t seem to get credit for my stays. I think the people had me fill out a new membership so I didn’t get any credit.

The staff on Sunday was fantastic! Beds were super comfy, room was quiet and clean. Great amenities that I wish I had more time to enjoy. I really enjoyed my stay at this property. I'll definitely stay again if I return to the Pittsburgh area!

The woman working the desk Monday morning seemed very flustered and seemed upset that I asked for a paper receipt. She made comments about me booking through a third party app which I could have done without.

Our handicap room was spacious

You should have designed the handicap amenities a little better. For example, the shampoo/soap dispenser was in the back of the shower making it awkward to reach. Additionally, There should have been a shower chair in the bathroom. I had to call the front desk for one. The hose for the handheld shower head could have been longer. I had to stretch to rinse off.

Clean room with great amenities and very friendly staff. Haley checked us in and she was terrific! The bed was super comfortable as well.

TV was a little rough to angle towards the bed for viewing from the bed. The shower was a little quirky. It was either scalding hot or ice cold unless you fiddled with it for a very long time. We ended up having to turn it all the way hot, then turn it all the way off, then turn it back on only about a quarter turn to get the temperature right. Not a biggie but a little frustrating.

Rooms were great! Full fridge, cook top, dishes, enough to stay a week and not have to eat out 3x a day, loved that the sink and mirror were seperate from the toilet and shower so we could both get ready together. The lights at the sink were super bright, making getting ready for the day easy and quick compared to hotels in the past. Breakfast was amazing. Beautiful patio out back with a fire pit and sitting area.

Room had some cosmetic issues that needed attended to, but they didn't take away from the stay. Pool was still closed, total bummer, but upon asking, it was beyond their control due to supply chain issues. If you are booking for the pool, just call first to see if it's fixed yet. Staff was as bummed as we were.

I loved that the swimming pool was indoors and it was open early so I could take a dip before leaving. Breakfast was amazing and the hotel room was big enough for the amount of people that stayed.

The only problem I had was figuring out how to swipe the key to get into the room and the pool 🤣. Those things don't like me I reckon but other than that I'll definitely be coming back every time I go to a penguins game.

all the comforts of a small apartment, the room was super comfortable and clean. I needed a quiet place to get some work done as our home is getting work done to it. I loved the late check out as it was on a Sunday and that is the only day I get to sleep in.

Staff was friendly. The room was big enough to fit all 5 of us in our family. The pool was open and the breakfast was no just a grab and go breakfast. There was a morning that the breakfast lady didn't show up and there was no hot breakfast, but that wasn't the other staff's fault.

When we checked in and went to our room, we could tell it wasn't cleaned recently. Trash was taken out and beds were made, but the counters were full of crumbs and there was remnants of confetti on the floor from a past guest. Also, they do authorize your credit card upon arrival...meaning it charges the card that day to 'authorize payment'. The charge goes away within 24hrs, then you're charged the full amount at the end of your stay.

Convenient, clean and friendly. Price is reasonable.

I was automatically upgraded to a king room, but needed the dbl queen room. I ended up getting additional charges that the host never told me about at check in when I made the change. Found the charge on my bank account, asked about it, they were supposed to check it out and never got back to me. It was a 5 day stay. We have stayed several times with no issues. Thought maybe it would be our go to place in the area. We frequently visit the area. For example will be back at minimum 4 times in the next 3 months. We'll probably go to a different hotel for our future visits.

Wonderful staff check/ in great big room with Kitchenette, sitting , desk , big bathroom & large walk in shower + dog friendly !
