Quality Inn Gettysburg Battlefield

Comfortable, very spacious room. Fantastic location within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops and museums. Right next to the battlefield (we could see it from our room). Fantastic food across the road at the brewery. Breakfast was good too. Loved the old saloon bar!

I really wish hotels would have some consideration for the environmental consequences of using so much single use plastic. Breakfast is all plastic cutlery and plates, every single day. It makes me so sad as this is surely something that doesn't need to be.

The breakfast in the cottage was excellent and always well stocked. Breakfast staff was very attentive and friendly. It can get crowded but cycles thru quickly. Excellent location near the battlefields. 1 mile walk to downtown which isn't too bad. Great brew pub across the street that makes their own sodas! The triple bed rooms are excellent for large groups.

Parking is tight but you can find visitor spots if you stay on top of it. The rooms are dated and could use an update considering the room cost.

this hotel has been on my bucket list for quite some time. I had the opportunity to book and stay in late May 2022. My room was on the 1st floor-just outside the indoor pool, which was great! and the outside pool was just a short walking distance. The "breakfast house" is a short distance walk as well and has the essentials that a traveler would need. I was surprised to learn that they have a saloon "Reliance Mine Saloon" on premises and it looked really cool. The hotel is located on Steinwehr Ave in Gettysburg and is in walking distance of numerous gift shops, places to eat and ghost tours.

We love coming to this hotel. Nice size rooms and beds for our family. The staff is always so nice.They have a decent good breakfast and there's so much in walking distance and right down the road from the battlefield.

Air conditioning didn't work as well this time and the room we had could really use deep cleaning especially the carpets. Also, it was a no smoking room but it smelled like a bar so I purchased air freshners and frebreeze to take the smell out.

Nice having the breakfast cottage open again after the pandemic. Location of the hotel is very convenient to Battlefield attractions, restaurants, gift shops, etc.

I booked a Queen bed and I don't believe it was - the size of the mattress definitely was more like a double. I did make a complaint to the woman at the reception desk and she told me it was a queen - we had a tape measure with us and the width was more in line with a double-sized mattress. There was also several small millipedes dead and alive all over the bathroom floor. Otherwise, the room was decorated very nicely with a four poster bed and colonial-style furniture. The room was very quiet with high ceilings and a ceiling fan.

breakfast was good. room was ok, could have been a little roomier. location made walking around very easy pillows were good and towels were very soft

there was no housekeeping because of staff shortages and we had to go to the front desk if we needed anything. on the website, the indoor pool was listed as closed, so I didn't bring my bathing suit, but it was open. The mattresses were old and could be replaced.

We are "frequent flyers" at Quality Inn Gettysburg Battlefield and will stay here often when we opt not to do a B&B. The inn's location on the battlefield makes it so easy to leave the car parked and make the short hike to The National Cemetery, East Cemetery Hill and Cemetery Ridge battlefield sites. I love sunrises over these areas. The inn is a very short walk to several great restaurants, including General Pickett's Buffet, Appalachian Brewing Company and Gettysburg Eddies. Our rooms are always clean and comfortable. The staff is courteous and helpful and there is always coffee/tea in the lobby. Both, the outdoor pool and indoor pool were available on this early Spring visit. Breakfast is simple continental style with egg & sausage patties, bagels, fruit, yogurt and you can make a waffle if you like. The historic little breakfast cottage is quaint and the breakfast staff is always very friendly and helpful. 6am-10am gives you plenty of time to partake. This is a great inn and we'll return on many future visits to Gettysburg.

The wi-fi was very limited and essentially useless on this time around. Has not been a problem in the past but, then again, I rarely used it. Otherwise, NO complaints!

Great location - very close and easily walkable to the Battlefield, Pickett's Charge area, the national cemetery, Appalachian Brewing Co restaurant, Steinwehr Ave shops and eateries. A little further but still walkable to the square and downtown area shops and restaurants, and the visitor center. Nice outdoor space with balcony rooms, porches, outdoor and indoor pool. Nice having the breakfast cottage open again after the pandemic. Hot coffee, hot and cold breakfast choices, fresh fruit - grab and go, or sit and chat with fellow travelers.

They charged us 20.00 a night to have a down stairs room. Although I know this is a convenience 20.00 per night is unreal. Our ceiling had mold . The room is nice but outdated. Wall paper is slightly coming off the wall by the door. I just couldn’t see how the 20.00 per night was justified.

Not many hotels will you find 3 full size beds. I was travelling with my 2 teenage boys and no one wants to share anymore. Majority of hotels have no more than 2 beds so the 3 beds was the kicker for me. Continental breakfast was the usual. We enjoyed our short 1 night stay.

Did find a few hairs in my bed which is never good. Always makes me wonder if they actually change the sheets after every guest. Talking about all hotels, not just this one cause it seems every other hotel i stay at i find hair..
