Sleep Inn & Suites Gettysburg

Our stay at the Gettysburg Sleep Inn was comfortable. The room was clean and had what we needed. We were all set with a frig, microwave , coffee machine, couch, desk, hair dryer, soap, shampoo and ice. The breakfast had the usual choices. We had coffee, waffles, egg and sausage. The woman at the desk when we came in was friendly and helpful. The place was conveniently located on the outskirts of the historical places we were going. Choice hotels are usually a safe bet for a good night's stay.

I can't think of anything we didn't like. Of course, it would be nice if it were less expensive but it is a reasonable amount for a room these days for what is provided.

spacious rooms, clean and tidy, comfortable bed, very friendly, helpful staff. hot breakfast included in the price and whilst not unlike other hotels offerings, the food was prepared and presented with care. we are 5 weeks into an 8 week long road trip around the US and this is by far one of the best hotels we have stayed, in any price bracket. yes, they are still doing renovations to the property but everything is in its place and neat and tidy. we highly recommend Sleep Inn and Suites, Gettysburg. we will definitely stay here again on a future trip.

Very nice spacious and nicely decorated room. The staff was very friendly. They had a bagged breakfast and ready to heat breakfast sandwiches along with juice, coffee, tea ect. They also had yogurt and fruit. This was due to Covid. I was very pleased with the breakfast offerings. The pillows and bed were comfy and the rates were very reasonable in comparison to other hotels in the area for the same date. I would definitely stay again and recommend to others. We visit Gettysburg often and stayed at many of the local hotels. This one will now be one of my top choices.

The only thing really was the pool was cloudy. It could have used more shock treatment or something. It was also small and only 3 ft deep. This wasn't really a issue for me considering only my 7 year old was swimming however for my husband and I it probably wouldn't have really been large enough.

After camping and not being able to take a shower. Then driving for five hours I was disappointed to see that we had to wait two hours to check in. So we drove straight to the motel and asked if we could check in early. No problem, the hostess was very pleasant and accommodating. The room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. Coffee and breakfast were waiting for us in the morning.

I didn’t like anything about our stay. If you’re driving through Gettysburg , I would recommend that you stay here. The only thing is that it’s about a mile and a half out of town, but it’s right near a lot of stores and restaurants.

Room was clean. Strong smell of bleach in the bathroom due to covid cleaning protocols.

The breakfast offering was very small. A bag of chips, a small bottle of juice, and a granola bar. There were plenty of restaurants in the area and grocery stores to help us out for breakfast foods to eat in our room. Not much contact with staff as they were rarely behind the deck during our stay. Property is undergoing major renovations and there is unfinished sections of the hotel that are in sight.

Chose hotel based on the best-bang-for-the-buck” near Gettysburg. Our search criteria was cheapest clean and safe hotel near Gettysburg that had a comfortable bed, fridge, microwave and a good review ratings. Operating a hotel is challenging. I hope guests will be kind and patient with the new owners because we got the sense that they are working hard to provide a clean and comfortable hotel. It’s not perfect, but it’s a good value hotel.

Older style, loud air conditioning unit. There was no low cooling option, just loud or off. We prefer “soft” towels and paper products. If you like soft, bring them with you. 🙂

Everything was great. Quick, easy check in. Room was clean, beds are super comfortable, and breakfast was very good; nice selection of eggs, sausage, fresh waffles, cereal, hot coffee. This is our go-to stay when we are in the area and we are there about once per month.

I think the price is a tad high but on the flip side we know what we are getting and that is a clean, comfortable room.

Room was great! clean. sink outside bathroom is handy. free parking.

the site said “ good breakfast included” but it was a snack: a granola bar, Halloween size bag of chips and an apple juice. that is not breakfast! which is fine- just don’t advertise it as “ good breakfast” .

This was a clean, comfortable hotel, they had some work being done in the lobby, no big deal. The staff, I believe this is a family run business, we’re all very nice and accommodating.

My biggest issue with my stay at most of the hotels in this area were their key card locks. Rarely did my key card last for more than a couple of days, it was particularly bad here, this was my only real issue.

It was quiet with comfortable beds and a very clean bathroom. The price was right.

The lighting was dim and one of the ceiling fixtures was not functional. The carpet in our room had a large stain and several small stains. May have been very clean, but it didn't look it.
