The Inn at Houndslake

It was clean , staff very nice , helpful ,Happy Hour with wine , cheese and crackers . Rooms nice , beds comfortable . Swimming pool quiet place at a beautiful golf course , what can be seen from bedroom window . It’s the perfect place for meeting family and friends.

Great breakfast in the morning , also in clubhouse it’s offered a brunch you could go to and have a good priced brunch .

Very relaxing atmosphere. Quaint location. More like a boutique hotel. Older but very well kept. Very clean. Would stay again.

Bathroom could use a soap dish by the sink and another trashcan. It was odd to have a telephone by the toilet too.

it was gorgeous well kept. very quiet. helpful stuff. my sister & I LOVED the rocking chairs in from with the water fountain. it was a perfect way to relax & chill . I got to spend a wonderful time with my sister. MY HEART IS GREATFULL ♥️♥️♥️

We travel to Aiken usually once a year for a tennis tournament in town. We have stayed at the Inn at Houndslake many times. We love the setting of the lodge as part of the local country club with great views overlooking the golf course. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. That said, you have to be ok with a decor and design from a previous era. If you appreciate a push button phone in the bathroom, this is your place. We also love the restaurant open to country club members and guests of the lodge. Great food, honest and personable service at reasonable prices. The place was packed last Saturday.

Being on the golf course! Retro charm. Comfy feel. Good linens. Very nice staff. Wonderful continental breakfast including fresh blueberries! We really enjoyed playing 18 holes on the golf course.

Humidity made it feel damp and the ceiling in the hall upstairs needs repairs. But the South is damp.

The breakfast room was nice and coffee was available anytime. The inn is very quiet and there were opportunities to walk the golf course and use the country club facilities. The staff was friendly. Cookies in the lobby at night. The room rate was very reasonable.

The facility is a bit dated but just fine for the price. We were very happy overall.

This was our first stay here, and we had traffic and mechanical issues with our vehicle that day, but we communicated with the staff notifying them of a potential later than expected check-in and they told us not to worry and keep them posted. We ended up getting there around 9:30 p.m. and check-in was a breeze. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

Everything was good.

We were in Aiken for a horse show and the Houndslake Inn more than suited our needs. We were up at 5 am and it was really nice to grab coffee, peanut butter honey toast and a bagel before heading to the horses. It was really quiet and pleasant. I loved being able to walk out to the nature path with our dog. Shower pressure and room set up was great too.

Breakfast was good. Price was high, but it was Masters week, so expected. Staff is sooo nice!

Really…everything was good. Stayed there once before…..pretty much the same. Staff great…just a comfortable easy place to stay. Other patrons also real nice.

Peggy was an exceptional host. very helpful and generous.
