Sleep Inn Fort Mill near Carowinds Blvd

The majority of the hotel experience was fine. The lobby stank of smoke, though, and was uncomfortable to walk through or stand in while waiting for the elevator. No hot breakfast during our visit was dissappointing, but not unexpected post Covid. A reasonable hotel and reasonably priced. We only needed 2 nights, and spent very little time there. It was fine for beds and showers for that time.

Lobby area reeked of smoke. Dissappointed that condition isn't monitored with more gusto. Reasonable experience, and was ok for 2 nights near Carowinds.

Clean and functional room. Easy to work at the desk. Staff was helpful. Above average stay.

All facilities/amenities were closed (due to illnesses going around). I am not rating them on this because that is what is going on, however we stayed at another place that did allow use. Don't get this room if that is what you want! Shower door would swing in. That was very annoying. Breakfast was ok.

our room smelled like roach spray, the AC had a bit of mold in it and also the buttons were off. our sheets had what looked like a red juice stain on there. my nieces pillow had lots of stains on them. the beds were very rocky, the bathroom was very small.. house keeping missed a couple of spots while cleaning

I thought the bed was very comfortable. I slept great once the noise quieted down.

I was not a fan of the bathroom set up. It was quite strange. I've never stayed in a hotel with the shower sticking out into the room. Plus there was a smoky smell throughout the hotel as well as a strong smell in our room. The front desk clerk said she believed it came through the vents. I was also not happy that the pool was not open in july! We could also hear everything from kids running down the hall, parents yelling at them, and doors closing. My son was watching tv at a reasonable level and I could hear it out in the hall 2 rooms down.

The rooms were super cool and the breakfast was great! Michael working the front desk was a super friendly guy that accommodated my needs without hesitation. He is one of the nicest people I have ever met! I liked the desk- most hotels don’t have them and I got to relax and draw

The shower had no water catcher to stop the water from going in the floor of the bathroom

The staff (especially Michael and Rhonda at front desk) was excellent. The room was clean and comfy. Proximity to Carowinds. Guest laundry (one washer / one dryer) on fourth floor was convenient. Housekeeping staff did a superb job.

I can't think of a single thing that I would improve upon.

the location is unbeatable. the staff were so kind and courteous. so helpful. even with the stress of the construction.

really no complaints. they are investing time and energy into construction. which is exciting.

Location, solid value

Dropped Ceiling in the dining area pulling away from main ceiling from water damage. Looked like it was about to fall. Carpet was dirty main hallways.

Front desk staff were extremely friendly. Lobby coffee was really appreciated upon arrival, tasted fresh and flavorful. Beds were very comfortable and clean. The shower was great. Overall, room was clean.

The AC louvers and front of AC were covered in dust. I had some wipes with me and wiped the exterior completely. The bathroom floor could have been cleaner and the toilet base should have been wiped down, a little bit dirty.

Front desk manager was the best. She handle everything awesome. Even had to deal with unruly customers while dealing with us. She was respectful and understanding. I definitely will be back.

I didn't like the fact that the front desk manager had to deal with unruly customers. They cursed her out in front of us. And she endured all that and was still respectful to them and us. I wish I had more money to give her. I would of gave her an thousand dollars tip.
