Super 8 by Wyndham Deadwood Black Hills Area

This was a good value for the area. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable. we enjoyed the jacuzzi. Although it was a cold breakfast bar, it was more than sufficient and the cinnamon rolls were too good. It also has a nice back deck overlooking a wooded area. It is also on the trolley line, but we did not use that service.

The A/C unit was the older “window shaker” style and although it was wall-mounted, it was a bit noisy. The a/c unit needs to be upgraded. I realized after checking in that I forgot to ask for my AAA discount. The young man at the front desk told me it was not possible to give a discount at that point. That did not seem correct to me.

Clean room, adequate parking. Stairs only! Free breakfast had an ok variety and was available until 10, which was nice. Checkout at 11:00. You can catch the trolley across the street for $1. It's a pretty far walk to main street if it's hot or snowing.

The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was hot. The staff that I encountered were very nice and accommodating. I was very satisfied as what I got for the price. I thought it was an added extra having a creek behind the facility.

The breakfast that they offer isn’t fancy but will fill you up. The caramel rolls are quite tasty and fresh, goes extremely well with a cup of coffee.

Very nice staff. Liked the riverbank location. Liked the newly redecorated room.

Not crazy about all the slot machines. Ugly, cheapened the appearance of an otherwise very nice motel. Slots were Noisy, distracting. No place except outside to gather without noisy slots.

Morning staff lady was awesome. She was friendly and knowledgeable

Night staff was rude. I have terminal cancer and a handicap parking permit. He made me move my car from a designated handicap spot because it was by the hotel casino and near the front door. He said casino patrons used those spots although they were not designated as such

Customers services was very unprofessional. Seems like the guy Didn't wanna help me at all. I'm standing in the lobby (by the window) while he walk out from behind his glass door and did some cleaning than came back, gives me the eye and check me in. I ask if I could apply my AAA discount and he said no. Overall my check in lasted 5mins. Went up into my room and realized he didn't ask for my car type, plate or any sort and I was curious because I don't want my car tow for unauthorized vehicles. Went back downstairs. The other gal, whom he was helping. He was all giggling with and giving her options, upgrades and discount. Just wow.

Was located off casino in a great location. Good quick breakfast

I didn't like I was charged an extra $75 for washable colored hairspray that was on a towel... but lesson learned to spray colored washable hairspray outside or bring my own towel and wash cloth as $75 for a towel and wash cloth was a ridiculous extra amount to have paid... thats 3/4 what I paid for the room it's self!

Great location, had trailer and great parking. Staff excellent. Room needed a couple repairs and they fixed well and quickly. Location to town excellent, great parking, pool and whirlpool. Desk and all staff very helpful and friendly. Would book here again.

Breakfast options pretty limited, but adequate.

The room was very clean. The staff was great. All of them were friendly and helpful. Not only was the room clean but everywhere in the facility was clean.

There was nothing that I didn't like. If I ever come back, this is the place I would stay.

The room was big. Beds comfortable. Easy access off freeway.

The bathroom was dingy and a few little bugs. The outside area to the back where we were was not kept up, weeds, etc. LOTS of trash on the ground around trash cans.
