Travelodge by Wyndham Spearfish

I loved that the staff was friendly, the room and whole facility was clean, the lobby was available for us to gather as a group and visit, and the pool area was great for kids and adults as well. This hotel was a hop skip and jump from the BHSU Campus where we spent most of our time and close to the Spearfish Canyon Scenic Biway.

I didn't like that we stayed for three nights and no one came in to change the trash or leave more towels. That was minor and when I asked they gave us more of everything with no issues.

Good price and very clean. No elevator but not a bad climb on the stairs. Staff very nice . Located next to Perkins restaurant for breakfast or another meal. Good grab n go breakfast and coffee

Disappointed the hot tub was only clean to use one day. After a problem . Not sure they completely drained and refilled.

The desk person was friendly and helpful. He suggested a place to eat supper that turned out to be delicious. The bed was comfortable and it was a quiet location so slept well. The pool was nice and warm, it was awesome! The room was clean which we appreciated. Nice stay for the value.

Not much for breakfast but they do have muffins or donuts available, and also offer a discount coupon to a nearby restaurant that can be used for breakfast or other.

Staff at the reception was very attentive. On checking out I mentioned something quite minor in my room that needed fixing and the front desk manager wrote it down immediately in her notebook - a good sign of sincere interest in customers and excellence in the hotel.

Packaged muffins etc as breakfast... something more of a real breakfast would be a nice upgrade to this otherwise excellent hotel.

The hotel was simple but accommodating. Clean and modern. The staff was TOP NOTCH! Best customer service I’ve experienced in a long time.

The room was clean but small. The breakfast bar was lacking but it’s clearly said on the website that it’s a grab and go type breakfast, not a hot meal. There was a small shop to buy additional food and drinks which I appreciated.

HOST RECEPTIONISTS WERE EXTREMELY FRIENDLY, KNOWLEDGEABLE, & ACCOMMODATING. IF WE TRAVEL UP THAT WAY AGAIN, WE WILL DEFINITELY STAY AT THIIS HOTEL. WE WILL LET PEOPLE KNOW OF THE GREAT HOSPITALITY.

The room and the hotel were very clean. Very nice staff with great hospitality.

The heads on the showers are very low. I found myself having to duck to properly rinse. I know this is something not in the hotels control but maybe when renovation time comes this could be addressed . Besides that it was a nice place to stay.

Location was right off interstate highway. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Check in clerk was very friendly, however the gentleman who checked us out gave us the impression he didn’t want to be there. Maybe it was too early of a shift for him. Breakfast was a grab and go. I think they may have a coupon for Perkins Restaurant but we had eaten there the previous evening. We just grabbed a few items and ate breakfast later that morning along the road.

The grab and go items but understand that Covid is still impacting communities. The check out gentleman was not friendly. There were a couple places in the bathroom that needed some drywall repairs.

The front desk employee was friendly and informative. The entire place was neat and clean. The location is great, right of the Interstate. We have stayed there numerous times and have never been disappointed.

The beds are a little soft, we like a very firm mattress, but they were clean and that's important to us.

We absolutely loved our stay! The hotel was clean, spacious, and the staff were very friendly and helpful! There was coffee 24/7 and the pool area has an amazing view of the South Dakota Hills. We plan to return to Spearfish and will not hesitate to come back here. Thank you!
