AT&T Hotel & Conference Center

The property itself is beautiful. They have a patio with great outdoor scenery, a coffee shop (which is good and barista was great) in front of windows to their out door patio, the rooms were well kept, customer service was too notch, and very friendly faces.

Personally, I had an issue with valet and found out that the valet is a different company not associated with the hotel so hotel wasn’t able to fix the issue. It became a little frustrating as it seemed like there were many obstacles I had ti go throw in order to get to the right person, but overall hotel staff still offered an extra line of communication and were very understands towards everything. Thankfully, the issue was resolved.

Very nice and clean facility on the UT campus. 20-minute walk to downtown and the Colorado River. The room was immaculately clean and well-appointed, and it had an in room safe for valuables. Breakfast was great with a super buffet or a la Carte options. The location was easy to find and 2 minutes off hwy 35. The staff were friendly and helpful but a little too professional. I mean that they really wouldn't engage in friendly banter. They were pleasant, helpful, polite, and smiling, but I personally had the impression that We were just another guests.

Outside of the feeling that I was just another guest, I really liked this property and would gladly book here again if ever back in Austin.

AT&T Hotel & Conference Center is perfectly located for exploring the Capitol, UT campus, or downtown Austin. The rooms are comfortable and there are nice common areas both inside and out. We especially like the courtyard that has plenty of seating for gathering with friends. Staff are always very friendly and the parking rate for guests is much cheaper than other hotels.

Customer service was top notch. Every single staff member that I met was warm, attentive, and super helpful. My son left his tablet in the room after we checked out and didn't let us know about it until 3 days later. The front desk connected me to Daniel in Lost and Found, who sent it back to us via UPS next day! We received it, Daniel! Thank you so much! We will definitely be returning here when we visit again.

The beds can be a bit firmer, too soft. Same for the pillows. Pillows can be firmer and wider.

We love the location for UT games, the comfort of the beds, good AC is always important, the blackout shades for sleeping, THE BATHTUB, the soft towels, room service and the staff. We always have a great sleep here.

No stopper in the tub? But staff is always quick to bring us one. We have not eaten there in awhile but after games it's a wait for food of course. And it is so hard to get a room some weekends, no way around that.

I really liked the location, its not too central which means you can have a reasonably quiet nights sleep. The bed and bedding was very comfortable. The size of the room exceeded my expectation. The desk area was fantastic for getting work done. I was able to connect my laptop up to the TV (bit fiddly but manageable) and switch to it OK. Uber eats deliveries were able to drop off order right outside my room door with no issues.

I can tell the hotel is a little old, the shower head was very small and fired water out at an average pressure but fortunately the water temp was consistent. Had a whole incident where the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and everyone had to leave the hotel. While something like this is unavoidable the only thing i didn't like about it was the complete absence of staff to reassure anyone or relay info about what was happening. The breakfast buffet was average at best. Not much choice and certain items were old/stale. The price mark-up for SXSW was quite excessive in my opinion.

Gathering areas are very grand and pleasantly staged.

Small rooms. loud commodes. Dusty carpet near headboard. Sneezed through the night. Gabriels bar could use better chairs. Halfway through the Superbowl, my jeans got snagged on a nail sticking through the thin leather upholstery. turns out quit a few chairs had that problem, how do I know? The bar manager saw me jump off my chair and said they’re in the middle of getting different chairs. He did snag me another chair, unfortunately it had the same problem. I just made sure to avoid the nails. The sound system in the bar could use an update. Watching the Superbowl isn’t an everyday occurrence. I asked if they could turn the volume up one click and they said it was at max volume;(

The location (literally on campus) is reason enough to be satisfied; but the overall hotel and room comfort/amenities and the awesome hospitality and friendliness of the valet, bell, front desk, staff, bartenders etc is the reason we are very satisfied and will definitely stay here again!! One of the best 5 star hotel experiences we have had!

Amazing location for access to the University of Texas, Moody Concert Hall, or the football stadium. Super-comfy bed, and a wonderful view of the UT Tower (if you're on the right side of the hotel. Easy walk to Texas Capitol building. Hotel restaurants are goods, but Arturo's Underground Cafe just a couple of blocks away is THE PLACE for breakfast.

Service at the happy hour bar was spotty, at best.

I liked the room, the size of it and the general amenities in it. Additionally, I appreciated the lobby and the friendly staff. Honestly, the breakfast was great value for money. Enjoyed it a lot!

One morning, I was woken up to a fire alarm, but the staff managed to coordinate us all and to get us out of the building quickly and safely.
