Moxy Austin - University

The staff are super sweet and really helpful here. Their attentiveness really made a positive impact and honestly made my stay outstanding. Location was great and convenient. Near a bus stop and quick uber ride to popular places in Austin. The rooms are cute and clean. Our room was quiet and easy to sleep in. Lots of space in the lobby to sit to lounge, eat, play games, etc. The gym is decently nice for a hotel gym. Appreciate the towels and ear buds.

The rooms don't have certain amenities like a fridge and depending on which room you book, it can be a little small. But honestly the rooms are really cute and in really great condition for the value! Well worth the stay and we'd stay here again next time we're in Austin!

Location was right across the street from UT campus, which made it very easy to find an uber or scooter to take out for travel. The room was comfortable and was spacious enough for two even though I was alone. They have a movie night every Thursday and it was a big hit, and the bar offers special drink themed with the movie which was very cool. I didn't have a chance to try the taco place in the lobby, but it sounded really good and had great reviews.

My bed was a little uncomfortable but not so much that it ruined my sleep, the mattress felt slightly sloped. The air conditioning in my room would also sometimes just decide to stay off at night, but it was also extremely hot outside, so it must have put a lot of stress on the system.

Comfortable and clean room, fast free wifi, super welcoming front desk staff. Great location with plenty of shops around the blocks, and is less than 10min drive from city center (great for participating SXSW!).

There are parties at the 1F bar until 2-3am with loud music during weekends, the music and beats can be heard even from 4F. Water pressure in the shower could be stronger. And would be great if the house keeper don't knock hard on the door at 8am to ask you if you want housekeeping service...

Super friendly staff behind the bar and at the front desk. Loved the welcome beverage and the chance to relax and unwind at the bar before heading upstairs.

Parking garage and auxiliary garage were both full even though the hotel was not. I had to park in a lot a couple of blocks away, which wasn't the most awesome for a solo traveler late check-in. But, late check-in was due to other accommodations falling through and having to self-accommodate for the night and everyone was super helpful in directing me to parking nearby.

location convenient to West campus apartments (moving in daughter). Zombie Tacos convenient for late night and early morning eats. Food was excellent! Water and coffee stations a good idea.

Our room door didn't close all the way, and housekeeping also didn't close the door all the way. We were told two days of cleaning rooms since we booked four nights. we had to remind on night #3 to clean room. Are refrigerators available? one would think that in Austin during August that room refrigerators would be a good idea.

Oh god, this place was the cutest. First time staying at a Moxy hotel and it won't be my last. Loved the funky decorations and the staff was super friendly, hip, and hospitable. Beautiful courtyard space in the back, there were a lot of people chilling out there for an event while I was there. Plenty of space to relax inside as well. My room was basic but quiet and comfortable. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The rate was reasonable. Thanks for a great stay.

warm and welcoming staff, energetic atmosphere, nice variety of common spaces (including outdoor!), efficient room layout

Not a real dislike, but the rooms are on the smaller side with a unique and efficient layout. I found it perfect for a solo leisure traveler, and frankly would be happy staying here on a business trip as well. But some couples — and families with children— would likely feel a bit cramped. As far as storage is concerned, space is limited but efficiently organized.

The vibe is cool and hip. Lots of photo opportunities for social media posts and also spots for social hangouts. The staff was welcoming and has a nice gym facility with cardio equipment, kettlebells, free weights, pullup rings, and a water refill station. Loved that on the weekend they have DJs and was pleased to hear some groovy house music that made me wanna gyrate my hips and get down.

The maximum temperature the thermostat would reach is 76 which I found a tad chilly for my taste. The comforter wasn't comforting enough to keep me warm and I had no one else in my bed to help forcing me to wear some layer of clothing between the sheets.

Location is in the edge of campus and made visiting my son easy - Once your tire of student life - it is $10 Uber or 30/40 min walk to go downtown and soak up some Austin history and culture . Recommend small group walking tour and free tour of The Capitol

Nothing it was as expected - it is reasonably expensive but there is little other choice for a decent hotel close to UT campus
