Comfort Inn 290/NW

It has a really good location close to 290 freeway, also so close to restaurants, stores and supermarkets. The bed was really comfortable and the room was a good size. The pool was a plus for me with the hot weather in Houston it also offers breakfast and the staff was really nice.

I didn’t like that the bathroom doesn't have any ventilation. And they didn’t made the bed everyday.

The staff were really nice and kind, particularly the lady with the glasses. The location is superb. There is a Walmart within walking distance to the hotel which was a life saver for me all the time as I stayed for close to a month and always needed affordable water, food and other items. There are also lots of restaurant options around. Also, since my flight was for the evening I asked them to allow me checkout late and they kindly obliged. Houston is my getaway place whenever I want to be alone to do some sound intellectual work, and this hotel was actually very conducive for me for that purpose. This'll be my spot whenever I'm in Houston.

The breakfast bag. I love a healthy breakfast, so a granola bar, apple, and cake was torture. Apart from that everything was good.

We got a free upgrade to a large room which was very clean. There were no issues with maintanence. The wifi worked well and it was quiet at night. Very fast check in as well. This was a pretty good deal. My wife and I would definitely stay there again.

The location is convenient as it is close to the highway, but there is no where to walk. If you want to go out for some nightlife you will have to drive quite a distance. Not the place for a romantic getaway.

The room was clean, nice, and comfortable. Had a fridge & microwave, king size bed which is nice to stretch out on after a long day.

They're In the process of renovations so can be kind of loud during the day.

The check out receptionist this morning had a big attitude, she was so rude and nasty. Also, customer service plays a big part in customer interaction. I Told her good morning and she said not one work back to me. I next asked her did she hear me. She just nodded yes while rolling her eyes. I’ve stayed here several times before and the front desk staff WAS awesome. She definitely should NOT be working anyone’s front desk with that big attitude. PLUS it’s the day after Christmas. How are you that angry at Christmas time??? By the way. Her name starts with the letter A and she has a short blonde cut. BEWARE!!

Absolutely comfortable and very supportive

I’m pretty sure i must have misplaced two items in my room, but it never turned up, i tried contacting and they been helpful over the phone but i feel as if i had to go and check it for myself but didn’t.

Breakfast was very good. Plenty of space in the room. The personnel was friendly.

The smell of smoke when you entered the room.

Could have been better.

They charged me double for my stay. They did reimburse me my money but it was kinda hectic being on vacation and they take double of what you expected to spend and I didn’t get it back until our vacation was over.

I liked the location as well as the friendliness of the staff. Although, I was placed on the 1st floor where I found it difficult to focus due to all of the noise from the main check in office as well as being placed by a maintenance room and laundry facility. Aside from that, I greatly enjoyed my time away from work and would definitely recommend this location to family and friends.
