Scottish Inn & Suites - IAH Airport

It’s perfect for a hotel that’s close to the airport. I stayed here 4 days and there wasn’t one wrong thing with it. Ok I didn’t have the breakfast so I can’t comment but the shuttle was perfect and easy to and from the hotel. You can’t complain about “attractions” and “things to do” because it’s just a normal hotel by the airport. It’s probably best to use Uber Eats for food because all you have close is fast foods but I’m afraid that just seems to be America in general. I’m a runner also so I found a little field that was sort of opposite the hotel to go and do some exercise which kept me busy while there. Room was a lot bigger than I thought. Super clean and one evening the tv stopped working and they came and fixed it immediately. Not sure about people saying “it’s not safe” I literally saw not one person in the hotel car park while I stayed for 4 days and you also have 3 different locks on your door so I would say your pretty safe and secure.

Nothing. I had a great stay and I don’t think people should think twice about booking it. I don’t have a bad word to say about the place or the staff.

I was super sketched out to stay here, arriving late at night after my flight was cancelled. It's off the side of a highway next to a gas station and seems kind of sketchy. However, I was very pleasantly surprised by the big, clean room with a sitting area. The bed was fine and everything seemed new. The staff were very friendly, there was free continental breakfast and a free shuttle to the airport. Pretty great honestly if you are just there to sleep.

Neighborhood is sketchy and I didn't love being on the ground floor but it was fine.

I needed a place to stay because I had a really long stopover in Houston Airport (5am to 22:00pm). I called in advance and Mr. Roy at reception was very helpful. Payed in advance with booking, no extra charges at reception, free shuttle bus on time to and from the airport (need to call them once you arrive to the airport, service runs from 5am to 23:00 I think). I could get an early check in with breakfast included because I was checking out the same day. The room was big and comfortable, TV with satellite channels and air conditioning running (hot day outside). They had an ice machine, vending machine, washing machine for a price, complementary coffee in the room, and it is close to some restaurants and a service station. Called some other hotels before booking around the same price range and none of them answered my questions as clear as this one. Perfect for what I needed and highly recommend it.

Everything was great.

I didn’t have much trouble to contact the shuttle to pick me up at the airport. The staff is friendly, experienced and willing to help. The location is quite convenient, the convenient store and restaurants are in walking distance. The room is spacious and clean. Generally, I had a good stay here. it’s satisfying to have a room like this and also including breakfast with this price.

The bathtub is kind of slippery, need to be cautious.

I stayed one night since my flight departed the next day. I was pleasently surprised since my expectations were low but they managed to provide a really good experience. The auto responder for the airport shuttle service was easy to understand. In addition they provided a number I could call for free from the airport service desk to get further information. The room was bigger than I thought. The bed was really comfy and properly sized (I am 190cm). The wifi did work properly and everything was clean. The AC did work and did not make a lot of noise. Check in and check out was easy and the stuff was helpfull. The breakfest was waffles, toast, some sweets with a lot of sugar (jams), creme cheese some bananas as well as some drinks including coffee in different concentration. I guess it is usual for an US inn so I cannot judge the breakfest. My impression was that it was a good bargain for the price I paid (~70 USD).

The window could not be opened so I had to use the AC to cool down the initially very warm room. The pressure in the shower was mediocre so long hair takes some time to dry. I had to fix my desk with a folded piece of paper. The following points are NOT the fault of the hotel but I consider them important: There is no pedestrican cross walk to the local stores which is not the fault of the hotel but still sucks since running over eight car lanes is no fun. Since it is a poor neighbourhood I recommend being on your guard anyway. For example: The local Caesar's staff straight out ignored me while serving other customers as well as new arrivals. Guess my skin did not have enough pigments. So you better consider ordering food.

Location was very convenient to the airport. Only a few minutes away, that great after a long trip to Houston. Staff at check-in were very helpful. Required a document printing, this was done and very appreciated.

Being convenient to the airport, meant it was a little far from the shopping centers in Humble. A 30~45 min walk away If, I had a car, then would be different comment, as it would also be convenient. Above isn't a real dislike, more, an observation, as the likes for this place, far outweigh this distance to shopping places. On other hand, it was good as no need to go shopping 😉

The room was a pleasant surprise. Renovated with a small kitchen, great clean bad, and simple but well renovated bathroom. Great bang for the buck.

Breakfast was basically a single waffle machine and some bread. Waffle did taste like nothing and coffee was not good. Although the room had a kitchen there was no utensils whatsoever. One day we wanted to warm some leftovers and there was no plate in the room nor at the hotel reception.

Great value! Perfect for a layover stop. Close to the airport.The room is spacious and we liked that there was a separate sitting area with a small sofa, coffee table and desk. Bathroom / everything seemed clean. The expected amenities were provided.

The lights are very bright, which is nice in some ways but a night light option would be appreciated. The tub is dangerously slippery. A sticky mat for the shower should be provided in every room... before someone ends up falling and getting hurt. The batter for the waffles gets put away promptly

I checked in early and the staff upgraded me to a king suite. Room was clean n spacious with the kitchen. Place is very lit with the bright lights I felt very safe coming in at night time. Definitely will stay there again. They didn’t have shuttle att the time I needed to go the manager drove me to the airport himself that’s going above n beyond. Thank you!

Very clean and comfortable and quiet even near the airport. The outside facing rooms are more motel style and the place is dated but clean and well maintained. Very comfortable bed and soacious room for the price. Free shuttle was multi hotel but stopped here first dropping off from the airport in my experience..

No USB plugs that I could find (i had an adapter but lots of places now have clocks or wall plugs with USB. Didn't get to sample breakfast because my flight left too early.. little gentler bedside light would be nice rather than the overhead spot.
