Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Lubbock Southwest, TX

Convenient location to where I need to be. The morning breakfast is typical of Covid breakfast. The coffee was average. The scrambled eggs and sausage were kind of blah. The breakfast would be considered a light snack, such as yogurt and apple or banana and a muffin. For an above standard experience, I would prefer a menu and I’m able to order my breakfast, even if the choices were only for five items.

I had to wait for a cart to take my luggage and items from my car to my room because there was only one cart in use and someone checked in right before me. There needs to be more carts available for use when checking in and checking out. I was charged more for my stay, then was printed out on the invoice and I am waiting for a resolution.

I have to say, the location was phenomenal, in a really clean and nicer area around other hotels as well. The rooms were quite nice as well and the property was nice and clean and smelled really nice. The HK and common area staff deserve a lot of credit with how they treat this property and keep it clean. Last, the breakfast selections were super nice and had good variety! I would 100% stay here again.

The only thing I’d say is that the front desk agents were hit/miss. I had 3 different ones all 3 nights and so the one that checked me in was ok, kindof cold but that’s alright, but my second night, I came back from being out and my keys were deactivated (it was my fault because I had them by my wallet) and I went to the FD desk and even acknowledged that to her as well and she had a really bad and snarky attitude regardless which was unfortunate and told me not to have them near my wallet or keys which I already knew. My third night though, the FD agent was SUPER nice and friendly and I didn’t catch her name but she was nice and deserves all the credit.

Room and beds were very good. Breakfast was the typical buffet.

Hotel charged us an additional $100.00 hold on our credit card. They stated it was their policy to charge this amount in case there were any damages done by the occupants during their stay. I don't mind the extra hold on my card so much as I do they didn't tell you ahead of time and when we questioned why they were sneaking up on the customer when it was too late to change to Gentleman at the desk wanted me to initial this agreement to the hold where he wrote it in. I made him sign it also!

The hotel is really really clean and it's in a perfect location! The housekeeping lady(can't remember her name) was the absolute nicest! The breakfast was good. The rooms and facility smells super clean! Has indoor pool and a little place for drinks etc. you may need.

We liked everything so much but the only small thing was the pillows went flat so quick but nothing that won't bring us back to stay here again!

I liked the location because I had quick access to the loop. There was also several restaurants and stores close by. The staff was amazing, the pool was open until midnight which I loved. The pillows were really soft! oh and my husband absolutely loved the breakfast!

The water pressure in the shower was very low. The beds were extremely firm (which may be a good thing for some just not for me). Also if you don’t want to chance hearing kids and/or people that walk heavy above you, I would ask for a room on the top floor.

We wanted fresh towels so we placed the used ones outside our door. The dirty towels were picked up, but no replacement towels were delivered until we called the front desk. The shower could have been cleaned a little more thoroughly. The tv remote control needed new batteries, and the back was missing off the remote. The tv was inoperable until the nice front desk clerk came to our room to replace the batteries. She came right away, which was much appreciated.

Good location though a bit tough to find initially. An awful lot of traffic in this part of Lubbock and drivers are not particularly courteous. Certainly a much nicer Country Inn and Suites than the one we stayed at in Elgin, Illinois.

Not thrilled about the pricing all of the hotels utilize when there is an event (in this case a college football game) in the area. Seems they have a green light to boost their rates considerably and when traveling on a retirement budget it's not appreciated.

The rooms were amazing and had a little living space that we used well! The bed was comfy and the tub was designed for relaxing in and was so comfy. The pool was great for the kids and the hours for the pool are great!

The water pressure in the tub was super low and it took forever for the tub to fill up for the kids. Also, the hot tub was more Luke warm than hot.

coffee pot broken. told desk, they said they would into it. when we got back at 10 pm anew one was there but not installed, sunday morning we hooked up the pot in the bathroom it was defective too. when wechecked out ,told the front desk , they were sorry. all in all ,clean, nice, comfortable, would stay there again . things happen!

The King Suite was very comfortable and accommodating.

The room needs a little attention from the Maintenance staff. The tub stopper is not working correctly. Also, the heater runs inconsistently. As well, the pillows are too soft and not comfortable at all.
