Hampton Inn and Suites Port Aransas

Everything is clean for the most part.

The ice machine on floor 2 has been broken for about 5 years now and they won’t get it fixed. Very inconvenient in the summer. Every year we go we are on the 2nd floor and every year the damn thing is broken. You would think with how over priced this hotel is that they would reinvest into the building and amenities. Just ridiculous at this point. Buy a new damn ice machine.

The room was clean and well laid out. The location was great for driving to places. Everything’s about 5-7 minutes away.

the bathroom definitely was in need of some repairs. The floor by the shower was spongy under the tile. The elevator was screeching which meant I usually took the stairs with our friends kid because he was scared to use them. They are perfectly safe to use he just gets scared easily and I need the exercise anyway!

All staff were incredibly helpful. We got started on a rough note because Booking.com had not sent our reservation to the hotel even though we had a confirmation number. The manager gave us the last room which was larger than what we had reserved and did not charge us any extra. I wish the hotel would not work with Booking.com

Booking.com and the stairways smelled bad. When the hotel can go through a remodel, the nasty old carpet squares should be replaced.

Place was clean. Pool had a hot tub and a shower so you could wash off sand. There was plenty of sitting around the pool has well. They had breakfast. It was the same thing every day but that was fine. I think they should rotate and have boiled eggs as well.

Some of the staff was not as friendly to be at the front desk.. It took several minutes on different occasions for the lady at the front desk to acknowledge me. I took it the blonde lady at the front desk was having a bad day. The other lady at the front desk I believe she had dark hair was always speaking and just seemed happier.

About everything else. Kind, very helpful staff. Spacious, bright room, wonderful windows for natural light, which is very important, great shower, hot water, pillows, bed was comfortable, good breakfast. And very quiet. Excellent rate.

There were two of us for four days, but only three drawers for clothing, not large ones at all, so could have used more drawer space for summer clothing, shorts, etc.. The closet was good-sized, so that helped. And could have used one more chair. But there was also a couch.

they need to remind guest about “quiet time” hours. ex:group next door opened their door right after midnight and yelled Happy birthday 🤷🏽‍♀️ children were loud and running up and down the hallway. It stopped around 10:30pm. Other than that, it was a great visit. The above does not reflect any negative issues with Hampton.

Location was handy to the beach and most restaurants in town. Beds were very comfortable. Thermostat worked well.

Our room was supposedly handicapped equipped. There was one bar in the bathroom--that was all the "handicapped equipped". That bar did not help me a bit when I tried to take a bath. I would like to know if we were charged extra for the "handicapped equipped". We were charged more per night than was stated in the ad.

Beds were very comfortable. Room size was nice and big.

The swimming pool wasn't clean and had algae. The pump wasn't running. Both nights we stayed it did not get fixed. We let the front desk know the first night but it was the same the next day. Big disappointment.

Break fast is so good. many options and the staff serves immediately. Room is spacious and clean. Staff are helpful and friendly. Location is good. close to beach and ferry

nothing. only the breakfast milk refills slow and our kids couldn’t have milk. suggest to offer individual milk packs

Breakfast was great! We accidentally left some belongings behind and Margaret at the front desk was exceptional and helping us get our items back. We receive them in one day great great great service from the front desk..!!!
