La Quinta by Wyndham Rockwall

Staff were friendly and answered questions that we had. The room was clean and we were lucky to get a jacuzzi tub in ours, even though we didn't request one. Checking in and out was easy and our parking spot was close to the room.

We had stayed at this hotel previously because it was pet friendly and didn't charge additional fees when we brought our pet. We booked the location a second time with this in mind, and there was still no pet fee. However, a week before our stay we were notified that the policy had changed and we were charged a $25 per night (no more than $75 per stay) non-refundable pet fee. I get it, but it was a bummer that their policy changed.

Staff was probably the most nice I have ever encountered!! The lobby is so inviting that I sat there for a while. Cute furnishings. Bed was amazingly comfortable. Fridge cools really well. Microwave is a bit dated but at least it works.

Took photos, if interested, of some spots in the room that were filthy. Bathroom lighting was poor. Bath tissue? Ugh. (Having issues uploading the additional photos). Strange spot on the room floor. A bit gunky along “baseboard” area. The breakfast lacked variety. The eggs were watery and tasted weird. I’d return JUST because the staff was so great.

This property is a great spot for us traveling to my folks in south Texas. We found it earlier this year while it was in repair from the freeze. Being completely redone it’s nice and fresh. Kids said there room was great as well. Staff were great Sam is a very helpful person along with the whole staff!

The property and staff were very nice and clean. The location was conveniently located near many restaurants and stores.

The breakfast wasn’t the best. If your kids eat waffles then it would be fine, but the cereal was stale. Requested extra blankets that were not in the room for pull out sofa. Also, our room had a strong almost guy cologne smell.

La Quinta filled a much needed service by embracing owners & their beloved pets. They provided a dog park, a bench for their owners and doggy bags for waste disposal. Meeting others staying there with their pets was a nice side benefit. The facility was very clean & the staff very friendly - all at very reasonable rates, and with breakfast included! They will be our hotel of choice from now on!!

Dog-friendly facility that didn’t smell or feel like a dog-friendly facility. The staff does a great job of keeping things clean and are very accommodating. It’s also walking distance to a lot of convenient stores (I.e. Target and CVS) as well as restaurants.

Pool area was down for renovations. Lots of kids running up and down the hallways.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The hallways seemed to be a bit noisy until later in the evening.

The hotel is under construction. It did not bother me, but certain amenities like the use of the pool would have been unavailable for use. The parking and entry to the hotel at this time was rather odd.

My husband and I love everything about staying here. When we get away for a weekend this is always were we go. We love the ability to go to the indoor hot tub and then go back to our room and nap if we want. It is always clean, everyone is nice. Just go you won't regret it.

I don't like the coffee so we bring our own. NBD

Beds were comfortable and we always had hot water for our showers. Indoor gym could only be used by one person at a time. I understand the need for social distancing, however it's not always safe to workout without a partner. Stores, restaurants, fast food, everything was close by and a great variety for whatever you were looking for.

While the water for showers was hot, the water pressure is very low. The indoor swimming pool was a pleasant surprise, however the water looked pretty slimy and not at all something we were willing to try out.

The room had everything I needed from a clean bathroom, a queen sized bed, a good sized tv, etc. The fitness center was alright, but I recommend you add some heavier dumbbells. The best part, for me, was the free breakfast.

The fire alarm woke me and all the other guests up at 5:00 a.m. this morning. I know it was necessary for whatever happened, that was just the last thing I expected to happen when I went to sleep.
