Best Western Alamo Suites Downtown

The breakfast was great, except for the cold biscuits. The staff was great especially the lady that worked every morning we were there for breakfast, she even made waffles for those that were having a hard time figuring it out, when I told her that the OJ was out, she immediately changed it out.

Did not like the bed or pillows, they were too soft, did not sleep well. I also did not like that the door to the balcony did not open.

The breakfast was AWESOME with a very good hostess who was very polite and on top of things by not letting food get low or cold. The room was nice and cozy with a very comfortable bed and pillow. We really slept good. So good, we didnt want to get out of the bed the next morning.

The design of the lights in the room. You had to turn on all the lights individually. The air conditioner was very weak when it blew and could have been cooler. The hours for the swimming pool need to be extended longer. It would be nice for the hotel to have a shuttle bus especially where it is located, near everything.

Big room. Friendly staff. Indoor pool and spa great in cold winter! Lots of parking.

Breakfast was so bad. It was in the smallest area. The line for waffles was so long and in a terrible location. It stopped everyone from accessing the other breakfast items. They didn't top some things up e.g. biscuits, oatmeal, potatoes. They watered down orange juice. There weren't enough seats/tables for amount of people staying in hotel. I recommend going down for dinner at 6.30am- so quiet.

Everything went well overall. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms size was a good size for our family. Accessing the hotel and heading out into San Antonio was also very easy.

The breakfast was good. But the area was small, for the number of people that were down there. This caused the people to be very close and noise level to be uncomfortable. This was especially noticeable, when other guests had their phones at full volume while watching videos.

two bedroom suite was nicely separated by the large bathroom. Just we could have used a chair in our room, there was only the desk/chair in one room.

The bathroom had no where to hand your shampoo or soap. You had to put it on the ground of the shower. There was no where to hang wet towels

The room was clean and spacious. We appreciated the Continental breakfast, it made it so we could go about our day without worrying about breakfast.

My allergies were acting up. I was sneezing quite a bit so decided to investigate the cause, found that it was the air conditioner filter that had not been cleaned for a while. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, oatmeal with toppings to choose from, toast, muffins, waffles, 3 types of cereal, yogurts, hot chocolate, coffee, apple juice and orange juice. Staff was very friendly and there was always complimentary coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby. Breakfast staff was always ready to help and super friendly

I enjoyed my experience here but would have enjoyed more lights in the room. It was a bit dim

I have worked in hotels for 7 years as a house keeper . the hotels I have worked for are as most people say luxury and I was held to a certain standard when it come to cleaning are rooms . and I will say I could have went through my room with a white glove and not got a drop of dirt or dust on them. very good job to the room attendant how cleaned that room

Great value, for the proximity to the River Walk. We had a beautiful large queen room. Rooms and hallways looked well kept, and the dining area was roomy. Breakfast was good! Staff was kind, courteous, and helpful.

Our bed spring was a bit "creaky". The view from our room was an electrical transformer. Also the top dresser drawer would not stay closed in rm 318 ( possibly needs releveled?)

I liked the location's proximity to downtown and to a HEB Marketplace with fuel. The hot tub was really nice to have and I also thought the staff I encountered were friendly and courteous.

It didn't feel like there was enough parking in the lot, even during the daytime. In the room itself, there was a strange odor almost resembling cat urine that was very present the second we entered the room. There were also a few things that didn't work as they should- the shower curtain was too small for the shower, when we opened the closet, the metal bracket on the back would fall as it looks like it was sloppily sticky puttied back on several times, and the microwave tray would not turn no matter how many times you got it back on the track.
