La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham San Antonio Downtown

We booked two rooms, one king and two doubles, they were right across from each other and that was perfect. They were very nice sized and very comfortable. The hotel was close to Lackland Airforce Base and the Airport. We booked because of the distance to Riverwalk and the parking included (a huge plus) Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was very good.

The area around the Hotel is unpleasant. We booked to be able to walk the the sites due to having to pay for parking everywhere. We did not walk and had to pay for parking because of the of the amount of construction and vagrants. I know that the construction is not avoidable.

Only a short walk (10 minutes) to the river walk, with plenty of free parking on-site. There is a small supermarket 5 minutes walk away and a tiny 'market place' cubby hole just behind the reception for snacks and canned/bottled drinks and simple microwavable food. the staff were warm and welcoming, and very helpful. The room was large and comfortable, with air conditioning, and clean.

The buffet style breakfast was frequently re-stocked by the staff but was very crowded and often hard to find a free table and seat. It is in a slightly quieter part of San Antonio but sill close to the river walk, bars, restaurants and entertainment - depending how far you are happy to walk. In truth only 15 minute to walk to the main hub of the riverwalk and town.

A great location for exploring the main tourist attractions of the city. It was about a ten minute walk to get to the Riverwalk (very manageable). From there, we were also able to walk to the Alamo and the tower. The staff at the front desk was very helpful in steering us to the best path for where we wanted to go. Right across the street is a wonderful market. We got pizza and some other dinner options there on the night we arrived. Breakfast was fantastic at the hotel, as was the pool! We were there during a big heat wave (about 106° each day), so the pool was a wonderful thing. Parking was free here! When looking, other places right on and around the Riverwalk added a daily parking fee. The ten minute walk was worth it for this alone. We even added an extra night to our trip to stay longer. The staff was very accommodating with this.

Breakfast was really busy each morning.. However, it was well worth the short wait. Even though it was busy, lines moved fast.

This was at the beginning of a very long road trip and our car was loaded down, complete to a low-riding deck. We didn't want to have to negotiate the downtown area much, which made the location of this hotel perfect for us. The room was very nice and the staff were very helpful. It met our needs perfectly. We had a day to spend, and the fact there was a stop for the hop-on/hop-off bus right in front was helpful to us. Otherwise, it is still within walking distance of the river walk and Alamo area, but it was extremely hot while we were there.

We had no complaints. It is always nice to have even a limited menu restaurant on site, or a least a place where we could get a drink without having to walk quite a ways in the heat.

Surprisingly good! Bedroom is spacious and tidy. Great location, walking distance to the river walk. HEB across the street is pretty convenient as well. Fair breakfast! After reading some bad reviews about the breakfast, it exceeded the expectations.

Our stay was great, it's actually our fourth time staying here. I love the location and having HEB next to it is the icing on the cake when traveling with kids. Breakfast is great, ladies are very nice and keep everything clean and ready for guests.

I've always loved staying here and have never had a problem. On this occasion during check in, front desk lady was horrible. Didn't have a chance to get her name she had black shoulder length hair. The gentlemans were the helpful ones, if it was up to her she would have just canceled our reservation. About an hour later I saw her giving another guest a hard time as well. The two nights we stayed she just looked bothered.

Breakfast: Hot/Cold options were very good Location: convenient to area attractions Room: very comfortable and cozy Staff: very polite from check in to check out The hotel was clean at all times and the pool area was maintained and towels were provided.

The only complaint I had overall was our shower wasn't draining. Upon leaving out for the day, we stopped by the front desk to report the issue and was advised they would have maintenance look into it. On our arrival back, the issue was resolved and had no other issue. Job well done to the maintenance worker/workers.

From check in to check out everything was absolutely perfect! Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was squeaky clean someone was always cleaning the main entrance. Our room got cleaned and refreshed everyday. The breakfast in the morning was amazing and the food was consistently being checking nothing was ever low or empty. The location was perfect for downtown. We would stay again and again and 100% recommend everyone here. Most definitely one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at

Location was great. Maintenence man Chino was amazing and really cares for customers.

The front desk putting the wrong room number on someones card and being woke up by my 14 year old terrified someone was trying to get in our room at 930 at night, then the next day they don't answer the call from inside the elevator when it got stuck, pushed it 3 times, nor answered the front desk phone, over 15 mins and after 10 mins I called 911. Then the only person who was concerned was the maintenance man Chino, he was very sweet.

Super clean and a perfect location. We walked to market square each day and also walked to the river walk every day. Not a long walk for us. We also had a minor problem with our bathroom one day and while we were gone they fixed the issue. I was surprised it was done. Very good service! Good breakfast and the pool was fun! Also very nice having a small grocery store right across the street.

One night the pool was super cloudy and we didn’t swim but the next day it was good to go.
