Sonder at La Villita

Great location that is an easy walk to Riverwalk and The Alamo. The unit was clean and a good way to stay as a family with extra space, a kitchen and laundry.

While we enjoyed our stay, two minor inconveniences: 1) The unit is in a modern building with cement floor hallways, so you can hear what’s happening in the hallway. 2) The parking garage is pretty tight, and you have to circle up very high (i.e., Sonder guests have to park on floors 7-8) using fish-eye mirrors to make sure you don’t hit someone going there other way.

location was fantastic - walking distance to the river walk and the Alamo. Tour buses picked us up right from the place to do the LBJ tour.

The elevator right by us didn’t work - we weren’t notified so had to drag our luggage around which was a pain. either had to walk across the whole building to the other elevator or take the stairs but weren’t notified of the failure. They sent a group email to guests over 24 hours after we complained it was down. I don’t like not having someone on sight, we needed more toilet paper and tissue so had to buy ourselves since we were there for several days that should be included in the price of a stay.

The apartment was well stocked with kitchen utensils and cookware, etc. It was clean, in a nice location, and spacious enough for the Mrs. and I.

Neither key fob worked upon arrival so we couldn't access the parking garage immediately. Made a call to the concierge and she offered a replacement. The neighbor in the apartment upstairs was constantly marching back and forth with VERY heavy feet and would scream the occasional obscenity.

The rooms and space were sufficient for my group. I like the provided towels, tissues, extra bedding, electric kettle and other working appliances. The apartment ceilings were high and room temperature were adjustable and working strong especially in the Texas hot weather. Toiletries and amenities were provided, beds were comfortable and strong wifi.

The instructions during check in were long and cumbersome, should have listed in step by step with numbers and provide a map image of the building, so big like a maze. Also missing an extra soap dispenser next to the kitchen sink would have been useful since the first thing we do after entering is to wash our hands.

Great location, quiet, perfect apartment with pool.

Trying to find the apartment was a little tricky and the leasing office weren’t very friendly about me having to leave my two heavy suitcases (as I have serious back issues) besides that, it was wonderful and the promptness of my queries was amazing. Perhaps few more kitchen items could be included , such as salad bowls etc as when I cooked, I didn’t have anything to store food in.

The apartment was really great. Clean, comfortable, Great location. Stocked with all the needed basics. We would definitely stay again. We contacted Sonders support a couple of times. The response was very quick and resolved the issues directly.

The parking situation. We parked in the ramp which was fine except for having to take two flights of stairs to get to the elevator, to the floor where out apartment was. At first arriving it took us a while to figure out how to find our apartment. The provided instructions to locate the apartment could have been better. Including a map or diagram to locate our apartment would have been very helpful. As the TV only has streaming services it would be nice to have an antenna for local TV stations.

The neighborhood was really nice. Away from much of the construction & very quiet. The apartment was cozy & it helped to have all the appliances there. The refrigerator was good to keep our leftovers cool & our drinks cold. The beds were good & the bathroom & closets were big. A very nice place to stay for sure.

Not much we didn't like about it. In the shower, it was a bit slippery when you stepped in. Maybe a couple more hand towels & a floor mat would be nice. That was pretty much it.

I loved the space! So roomy! Very clean and very accommodating! We purchased cups, utensils etc.. But little did we know it was all provided!! We had a room facing the swimming pool area. It was so beautiful and relaxing!

What I didnt like was the late notice about the ELEVATOR. If you book. Beware of the 7th or 8th floor parking and the room being on the 3rd floor! As well as the hidden way to get to the room. If you have a lot of baggage. It would be a nightmare to haul the luggage down 4 hallways to get to the room. Especially since you can not park at the floor level one has to stay behind or risk getting towed! Lucky we had minimal luggage!!!

The location is great. The room was clean and spacious and the kitchen was well supplied with essentials. The balcony was so nice for relaxing after a long day.

Parking on the 7th floor wasn't great. It felt like it took forever to get to the exit and one has to be careful to look at the mirrors so you don't meet someone unexpectedly around the corner. But is was very nice to have covered parking.

The location was convenient to lots of good restaurants. The unit was super nice and roomy. The king size bed was comfortable but my grown adult daughters shared the sofa couch and said it wasn't comfortable. I'm sure the sofa couch would work fine for one person or for kids.

The biggest issue was that Unit #2110 is right off of a busy street. The noise from cars zooming down the street was super annoying and made for much difficulty in getting a good nights rest. It wasn't until we were packing to leave that I noticed that there was a sound machine in the nightstand drawer. It might would have helped some but it is doubtful that it would have been able to camouflage the street noise of all the racing cars we heard throughout the night. Another downside was the elevator from the parking garage was out of order. We were either climbing or descending 7 flights of stairs each time we needed our vehicle.
